Hunter James visits Tito's Taco Truck stirring up old memories, then gets busy organizing his multiple investigations before visiting the hospital and a still unconscious Wings again.

Hunter James questions Uber driver Abel Thomas, and finds some inconsistencies with his responses. When checking in  with the local police Hunter finds some  holes in their investigation.

Hunter James is awaken by the police knocking on the door. Mrs. "Smith" decides to hire Hunter after all. Wings remains in a medically induced coma.

Back in Pensecola Hunter James inviews "Mrs. Smith" a potential client about her possibly cheating husband. Then the owner of the diner, Doris Poole, brings Hunter another potential client.

Suzie Haver is dead, Hunter James has killed Oren Stuckey and everyone is looking for Irene Hirsh. Hunter has a lot of explaining to do.

Hunter James and Suzie Haver "Pixie" have found the mason jars with the money but are trapped in the cave as Oren Stuckey searches for the hidden entrance with deadly intent. What has Stuckey done with Irene Hirsh?
