Interview with a disabled transgender man living in rural, upstate New York. We discuss disability issues, clothing that is comfortable for him, the alerts and other tasks of his service dog (a silver Newfoundland), service dog training and enrichment activities, his online volunteer work helping to train other people's service dogs, RV living, poverty and government disability programs, independence as a disabled person, advocacy for disabled people in healthcare settings, how the so-called "opioid crisis" punishes people who are in chronic pain, his support network of friends and chosen family, and finding appropriate healthcare as a disabled person with complex health issues and as a trans person.

Interview with Chelsea Brickham (aka Charlie), a transgender woman who is an actress, model, cosplay enthusiast, costume designer, and a retired engineer. In part 2 of this interview we are discussing her starring as the lead in the new film Knockout Blonde: The Kellie Maloney Story. This film just won the award for best documentary at the Cannes Film Festival. We also talk about crossdressing, crossplay, burlesque, her break from her parents during her cancer treatment, covid lockdowns interfering with healthcare, RV living, being active in and connected to the trans community, survival skills, and her support of Bernie Sanders and leftist politics.  

Please note: I have nothing but admiration for Chelsea Brickham and really enjoyed our interview, but I am deeply troubled by some of the public remarks that Kellie Maloney has made regarding trans people and their participation in society. In summary, Ms. Brickham deserves every accolade, but Ms. Maloney does not.
