The Earth revolves around the Sun, not the other way around.

Ruth was already the lowest... in Israeli standards. So, it was more natural for her to humble herself to glean in the field. Naomi was a work in progress. But, because of Ruth's ability to PASSIONATELY wake up in the morning, amongst grief, able to choose DISCIPLINE, over self, because she had no choice, she saved Naomi. This faith had an ending of being redeemed, but Ruth didn't care. She would be happy existing in a community of someone who had a thread of someone she loved. Her husband was her love, and lived her whole life grieving his death, yet there were blessings on the journey. One step after the other. If she lived for his purpose, then he would be with her wherever she went.

God wants more for us. So, sometimes he has to take away the 'artificial' security, of comfort, for us to realize we were built for more. He wants a refuge for us that isn't temporary. He wants a life for us, where we are the superheroes of our day n age. He wants to give us a purpose beyond ourselves, so our demons don't choke us out. 

He knows what we need, but if we choose him always, he doesn't have to take away. He wants to want what we want. He wants our desires to be aligned. Judges is him trying to get them to recognize their safety and security is found in something that will let them down. He is trying to not only protect their hearts, but strengthen them, so they are immoveable.
