Shannon In The Morning Big Show Daily Podcast

You probably know Dean Norris best from his legendary role as DEA agent Hank Schrader in “Breaking Bad,” but in his latest project he's pivoted to comedy in the new CBS show “United States of Al.”

Dean talked to Brad Blanks about his role as military vet Art on the new show and they shared a few laughs as they looked back on the now iconic (and cathartic) toilet scene in Breaking Bad that changed everything!

“United States of Al” airs Thursday nights at 8:30 on CBS-2!

Deborah Norville is in the middle of season 33 episode of “Inside Edition” which airs weeknights at 7pm on CBS-2. Inside Edition is TV's longest-running, top-rated and most-honored syndicated news magazine!

Deborah checked in with the big show to talk about what she has coming up on the show, this time she chatted Zoom Dysmorphia - Some people are obsessing over how they look on Zoom, causing them to want cosmetic surgery!

When Brad Blanks interviewed legendary horse trainer Bob Baffert last week, Bob hinted he wouldn't be on TV much because he never expected Medina Spirit to win the Kentucky Derby...and wouldn't you know he won!

Brad talked to Bob at his Kentucky Derby victory after party and detailed his moment for moment feelings during the race!

We are celebrating a special anniversary this weekend, it's Brad Blanks' 20th anniversary of covering the Kentucky Derby for the big show! ????

Back then he was calling into the Scott and Todd show on WPLJ New York.

Today he stood in the exact spot 20 years ago where he did his first horse racing interview with the great trainer Bob Baffert.

Back then Bob had only won 2 Derby's...now he has 6 wins in the big race and a couple of Triple Crowns...and he's built a valuable friendship with our favorire Aussie reporter!

Congratulations Brad! Check out his interview with Bob here and catch the derby tomorrow afternoon on NBC!

Today is the big day! Dr. Oz begins his two-week run as guest host of Jeopardy tonight at 7pm on ABC! He called in to the big show this morbig preview this humbling experience.

Dr. Oz was close with Alex Trebek, their shows were in the same lot so they would see each other all the time, and Mehmet did the guest hosting to honor Alex.

Dr. Oz is the 4th guest host this year, following Ken Jennings, Executive Producer Mike Richards and Katie Couric.

We asked Dr. Oz who he thinks should be the next host, and he thinks Richards would be great. "This guy is one of the most capable young executives i've ever seen in media" he says. "He's a handsome young leader, he understands the flow of the game and understands where America is."

And of course you can watch season 12 of “The Dr. Oz Show” weekdays at 1PM on FOX 5! Today's guest (3/22) is Giada De Laurentis, who gives a 3-day meal plan to reboot from an overload of carbs, sweets and wine! Plus Dr. Oz goes over the healthiest frozen pizza options.

When Deborah Norville checks in with the big show it’s usually to talk about current water cooler events coming up on Inside Edition, but she talked about something special this time.

Deborah is one of the executive producers of Lifetimes 400th “Ripped from the Headlines” movie!

“The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother’s Hunt for Justice” airs this Saturday February 20th at 8pm on Lifetime, starring EMMY winner Kim Delaney!

It’s about the mom who broke open the Long Island Serial Killer case - which remains unsolved.

Her name was Mari Gilbert and when her daughter Shannan went missing, Suffolk County cops ignored her. But she persisted and that persistence led to first 4 bodies being discovered and ultimately perhaps 16 killings that had gone unsolved and Un-investigated!

Deborah covered this story many years ago as a journalist and now she’s involved again to help present this historic movie!

And of course, you can catch Deborah on season 33 of Inside Edition weeknights at 7pm on CBS-2!

The CBS-FM family lost one of it’s best last week. Longtime account executive Will Barone died unexpectedly at his home on February 11th at the age of 49.

Will grew up in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey and brightened the halls of our Hudson street offices for many years.

He is survived by his wife Robyn & 10-year-old son Joseph.

Back in 2014 Will was interviewed on the big show after an unfortunate accident in the parking garage caused a porta potty to tip over, spilling some of it’s contents. Will, stinky shoes and all, still made it to the sales meeting because he had to get the bagels to his crew!

That’s the kid of guy Will was, always putting a smile on your face no matter the situation. He will forever be loved by his co-workers and will never, ever be forgotten.

An official GoFundMe has been established for Will's son Joseph, and can be accessed here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-memory-of-will-barone
