Shannon LNG is to lodge a new Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) planning application with An Bord Pleanála in early April for the development of a 600MW power plant and 100 MW battery storage system on the company’s 6000acre site on the Shannon Estuary between Ballylongford and Tarbert. The company has plans for a liquefied natural gas terminal on the landbank. Jerry got the reaction of the Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Jim Finucane.
