  • Ambassadors For Christ

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, says something every believer needs to remember: “We want them to know us by our love. We want be a good representative of the Lord. But more importantly, this is part of our mission.” You and I are called to be ambassadors for Christ — living examples of His love, grace, and truth in a world that desperately needs Him. When people see how we love, forgive, and serve, they get a glimpse of Jesus through us. But our mission doesn’t stop there. As we love, forgive, serve, and walk beside people, we share the Gospel with them. We can back up our actions with our words. There are so many we see everyday that are longing for the hope and peace found only through Jesus. So let’s represent Him well today — and take seriously this mission to share the Good News with everyone we can. To watch the full interview with Jim Sanders, visit our website at ShareLife.Today.

  • God Orchestrates Our Steps

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, has watched God turn ordinary days into extraordinary opportunities. He said, “As I've watched you over and over and over again, demonstrate how the Lord orchestrates—you would never imagine in a million years. And yet, if you're obedient and take that first step and get past that fear you might have, the result is incredible.” God’s Divine Appointments have been one of my favorite things to witness in my walk with God. He arranges moments that connect hearts and advance the Gospel in ways we could never plan on our own. So today, pause and ask the Lord to orchestrate your steps. He delights in aligning your path with someone who needs to hear about Jesus. And when He does, I’d encourage you to step out and share the Gospel. • No Chance Meetings

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, has seen God’s hand in the most unexpected moments. He said, “The fact that there are these divine serendipities, there are no chance meetings.” Every encounter—whether with a neighbor, a stranger in line, or someone sitting next to you—may be an appointment set by God Himself. I remember meeting a young man at a bus stop when I was out with a team in Arizona, who shared that he was just sitting there thinking about what was shared at his AA meeting, that having a relationship with God could change everything. He asked us if we knew what that meant. And we were able to share the Gospel with him. So the next time you meet someone unexpectedly, remember—it’s not coincidence, it’s divine design. So be ready to share the Gospel as God leads you! For resources to help you share the Gospel or to watch the full interview with Jim Sanders, visit ShareLife.Today.

  • Scripture Sword

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

As we talk about preparing ourselves to share the Gospel this week, we would be missing an opportunity if we didn't talk about one of the most important tools—the Word of God. In Hebrews, the author writes that "the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." When we do training in evangelism at EE, we always make it a point to memorize Scripture. Because it is powerful! It works in the hearts of those we share it with. So let me encourage you today—start hiding God's Word in your heart and begin to share it with others. Start with John 3:16 or Acts 16:31, which says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." You’ll see God take it and use it to change lives. • Pattern

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Homebuilders follow a pattern. It’s called a blueprint.  Chefs follow a pattern. It’s called a recipe. Drivers follow a pattern. It’s called a map. Patterns provide design and order and structure. Even the apostle Paul used a pattern in his spiritual teaching. “Follow the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from me” is the instruction that he gave to one of his students, Timothy. When it comes to explaining the Gospel to another person, a pattern is very important and helps us know what to say. The Gospel is not just our testimony or us talking about our church. The Gospel is a Biblical explanation as to why Jesus, and what He did on the cross, is so very important. We at EE have a pattern that teaches the key components of the Gospel, and I would encourage you to learn it, so you can share it and pass it on. • Preparing With Prayer

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

We often say, at EE, that witnessing without prayer is presumption. The truth is, we cannot effectively share Jesus with others unless we begin with prayer. Prayer invites the Holy Spirit to go with us and to lead the conversation. He’s the One who gives us the words to say. He’s the One who speaks to and ultimately changes hearts. Without Him, we go alone. So as we talk about preparing to share the Gospel this week, I want you to know that preparation begins with prayer. The Bible says in first John that "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." Is it God's will for people to hear the Good News of the Gospel? Well, you bet! So let's begin to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and opportunities to share. And let's get prepared! • True Belief Leads To Action

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

We were gathered together on a Thursday night for evangelism training. This particular night, Dr. D. James Kennedy caught the attention of a young man on the front row and said, “Don’t move—not even a muscle! You have a poisonous snake under you chair. Don’t look! He’s looking right at your leg. When he looks away, I’ll tell you. Be ready to jump out of that chair. Steady...ready...JUMP!” That young man nearly jumped through the roof! The point that Dr. Kennedy made was simple. If that young man really believed him, then his belief would have certainly, logically, radically turned to action. True belief always does. And the truth we believe is that there is a hurting world in need of a Savior. Jesus came and died to forgive us our sins if only we’ll believe. But many don't know because they haven't heard. And it's our job to tell them. So let's get prepared and be ready to share. Visit ShareLife.Today.

  • Are You Prepared to Plant?

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

As Peter so eloquently said in first peter three fifteen, we must always be ready to give an account for the hope that dwells within us. Jesus Himself commissioned us to go and to share what He did on the cross with others in a winsome and respectful way. So let me ask you...are you prepared to impart that hope to others? When we at EE start teaching Christians how to share their faith, we usually start with the fears we are up against. A large fear for many Christians is not knowing what to say, and another one is feeling the pressure of changing someone’s mind. But I have good news for you! You can be prepared to talk about salvation through Christ in a comfortable and clear way, and it’s not your job to change a person’s heart! That is the Holy Spirit’s work. Our job is to share——regardless of the result. So let me ask you again...are you prepared? Learn more about how you can share your faith at ShareLife.Today.

  • Conquer Your Fears (EA Online Promo)

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

What's keeping you from sharing the Gospel? Are you afraid that people won't take the time to have a Gospel conversation with you? Listen to what Evan had to say immediately after participating in an Equip America Event in Fort Lauderdale Florida. “How ripe the harvest is, you know? And how we as the body of Christ need to step out and how the Holy Spirit is just going to empower our smallest act of obedience.” In Matthew 9:35, Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful," and two thousand years later, it remains true. The Lord will provide the opportunities if you'll ask for them! Would you like to experience this? I have great news. On May 16th, we are hosting an online Equip America. This free online evangelism training will give you the tools you need to start sharing your faith with confidence. For more information and to register, visit ShareLife.Today.
