I was upon misguidance and Allah guided me, however during this time I oppressed other people. How do I repent from these sins now that I am upon the right path?

The sixth pillar of Imaan - Belief in al-Qadar (decree, predestination).

Believing in al-Qadar entails the belief in all four of its pillars; knowledge ('ilm), writing (kitaaba), will ('mashee'ah) and creation (khalq).

The fruits of belief in al-Qadar.

That belief in al-Qadar necessitates action, and relying on what has been written in our books from decree is forbidden.

Lesson 23 - The Pillars of Imaan (Part 10):

The fifth pillar of Imaan - Belief in the Last Day.

To believe in everything that will happen after death, starting with the test of the grave and its subsequent punishments or pleasures, the resurrection, standing before Allah, the scales, the siraat (bridge over Jahannam), the distribution of the books of deeds, Paradise and Hellfire.

There are two types of Iman in the Last Day: Decisive (jaazim) and firmly established (raasikh).

Belief in the Last Day also includes belief in the signs that will precede it - both the major and minor signs.

The fourth pillar of Imaan - Belief in the Messengers.

To have general belief in the Messengers which have not been mentioned and specific belief in those which have been mentioned at length or in brief, in either the Quran or Sunnah or both.

To believe that all of them (without exception) conveyed the clear message given to them by Allah.

To believe that there was no good except that they told their people of it, and no evil except that they warned their people of it.

To believe that Allah gave them ranks amongst one another and that the best of them was the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
