Amy Seiffert is an author, speaker, coach AND mother of three. In her new book, Starved, she combines practical advice with Biblical scripture to guide us through a spiritual diet change that will feed the soul while providing fulfillment, wholeness and peace.

Ifaseyi Amusan is a chef who views serving food as a ministry. This amazing Mom was been her son's, Onifade, biggest cheerleader in fostering his passion for baking and encouraging him to progress in his craft. Now, at fifteen, he just opened his own brick and mortar location called Onifade’s Cookie Company!

We’ll visit with both about their passion for providing good food and tasty treats as well as their business partnership as a Mother and Son duo!

Betty Selakovich Casey is an award winning author and illustrator of three children's books: The Prince and the Prairie, That is a Hat and May Finds Her Way. In fact, That is a Hat was chosen by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries as the featured children's book for Read Across Oklahoma. She is also a talented artist and has her works at at Sky Gallery on Route 66 in Tulsa. In addition to these extrememly successful side-hustles, she is the Editor of Tulsa Kids Magazine, where she has been for over thirty years. Our visit will shed light into finding a publisher, she connected with Oklahoma-based, Roadrunner Press, along with her background and the timing of when she started writing and illustrating books - because it happened after her kids were grown! She also shares what she does to manage stress as well as her perspective on living purposefully.

This is my 100th Podcast Episode and I'm celebrating by sharing the Top Five Things I've Learned from this Podcast. I have enjoyed this incredible journey as a podcast host, including the conversations and connections. I have met some amazing people and learned so much about how they have worked to follow their passion and discover their purpose.

Lauren Lowrey is an Emmy-award winning Anchor/Reporter in Nashville, TN.  Lauren is the Founder/Host/Executive Producer of the AMPstigator podcast - one of my favorites! - where she interviews women about the lessons they've learned on their pathway to purpose. In addition to all of that, she is the mother of three.

During our visit she shares more about why she started this podcast (because she was already busy!), why these conversations matter and she’ll share a story about why listening to her heart, both physically and spiritually, actually saved her life. She also gives a challenge and suggestion to listeners who don’t yet know their purpose.

Taylor Hanson is an award-winning musician, father of seven as well as the Founder of local non-profit, Food on the Move, Inc. Taylor started this grassroots organization in 2014 to provide food to people in need. Over the years, it has gained tremendous momentum and grown into more of a movement. In fact, since its inception, the program has grown in partnerships, schools and programming with a forward-thinking model you’ll learn more about in this interview. We caught up with Taylor to discuss the Food on the Move organization and how it is reimagining our food growth and distribution system through their new program called The Food Home.

Lorena Rivas is hard-working, determined, smart and witty. She wears many hats, including wife, mother, and successful Immigration Attorney. Her background in the legal profession has taken her on an incredible professional journey that has led to entrepreneurship. Prior to Covid, she was working 70 - 80+ hours a week and burning the candle at both ends. Although she loved what she was doing, she knew she was close to reaching burnout. However, everything changed for her and her business in 2020 and she was able to reset. She took some time to shift the focus of her business and make some instrumental changes. She even got creative by utilizing social media to expand her business and the growth was exponential! Now, she leads a team of professionals who share her vision. The bottom line: the changes she made have reaped big rewards personally, professionally, and financially! In fact, Rivas and Associates just earned an impressive accolade from Inc. Magazine ranking her firm as the 31st Fastest Growing Company in the Southwest Region. 

Throughout this process, she has become savvy in business and is expanding her services into consulting with other attorneys who are looking to build their businesses as well. She doesn't shy away from a challenge and is not afraid to dream big! She recently bought a building that will become the new company headquarters. During our visit, she shares a little about her humble beginnings growing up in a town of only fifty people, how an attorney helped her family when she was young, as well as the process she took in earning her J.D. Degree. You'll also hear more about how she is growing her business in exciting new ways along with her plans to give-back!

Annette Murray is a “retired” educator and school librarian, she stays busy as a part-time Concierege for Montereau (that’s where I met her!) and continues her passion for education through writing a children's picture book, ABC What do you See? Traveling Along Route 66. This book features the iconic Route 66 in ABC order highlighting Historic landmarks, fascinating wildlife, maps, quirky attractions, delicious food, and famous architecture are portrayed perfectly on every page! We discuss her interest in writing this book - in her 60's! Fun fact: She lives on Route 66 in Tulsa! She also talks about what she did to prepare for writing this book and her decision not to pursue the traditional publishing route and her reasoning behind that!

This mini-episode is less than seven minutes and centers around my personal journey of discovering my purpose. I believe that Purpose = Fullfillment. For me, I struggled early on and now hope to be a resource for others to find and follow their passion centered around their purpose.

Beverly Anderson is tenacious and driven. She is also one of my favorite people! She is a friend who I admire for her tenacity and work ethic. In fact, at the beginning of the episode we talk about our 15 plus year friendship and group of friends who has gotten together – we met when our kids were in preschool and now they are seniors in high school!

But then we get into her business. She is a true entrepreneur at heart and shares about her education and passions coming together to form the EQ brand. She is a passionate equestrian who saw a niche market and developed a clothing line known as EQ Wear. She also shares a story about going to a show to market her product but not having any product to sell and what she did to make her idea work.
