On Sunday, January 25, 1998, Thomas and Eileen Lonergan joined a scuba diving excursion on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Two days later, their belongings were found abandoned on the deck of Outer Edge.

We will never know what happened to the unfortunate couple, but Chris Kentis’ Open Water attempts to recreate their tragic deaths.
