Following the prophet is hearing, learning, and following the patterns of those who have obtained the testimony of Jesus and seeking for the same witness and transformation.

All men and women are invited to become possessors of a knowledge and power of God that is otherworldly. It is the invitation of the fullness of the gospel to receive a fullness of Christ - in this life.

We can experience the miracles of redemption and unlock heaven and pull it down to this earth. This is our great calling and the Lord's invitation. Please bear with me as I witness to my understanding of these principles and let us orient ourselves to the heavens and ask the Lord in his great mercy to accept our desires to come to him and bear witness of his word. I have a personal witness of him and his doctrine, and I bear this testimony in these presentations as someone who claims no authority only insofar as the Holy Ghost bears witness to the principles of which I testify.

We are very excited to introduce this, the first Lecture on Priesthood. These first few presentations within the Lectures on Priesthood will be a series on the principle of prophets. There are so many great principles to cover I hope the listener will watch these in the order they are intended. Every presentation will build on the next and hopefully we can drive towards an increase in light, testimony, and conversion to Jesus Christ.

We know from D&C 121:34-36 that the thing that keeps us from being "chosen" is that our "hearts are set so much upon the things of this world." What we don't often realize is that the reason we don't get the higher blessings we have been counseled to seek is precisely this: we have become, without realizing it, card-carrying members of the great and abominable church.

In this episode, we address the culturally popular narrative of salvation, and discuss how the restored gospel actually flips that framework on its head. Making this crucial first paradigm shift allows us to see how all other aspects of the gospel fit together.
