Then, one of the reasons Christians are deconstructing and walking away from the faith is because a leader they respected ended up being a big-time hypocrite. If you or someone you know is considering walking away because of this, Perry gives the reason not to.

Shawna has been so impacted by her recent travels that she finds herself wondering if what she has considered “comforts” are actually keeping her in bondage. She’s processing it with the Lord so she can live free.

Last year Perry was wrestling with making music an idol, he didn’t know if he’d ever be able to record again because he’s so prone to make it about himself. But he shares how the Lord has reset his heart for His glory, not his own.

On her trip Shawna had the opportunity to spend time with teenage girls who have been rescued from horrible circumstances and are growing in their relationship with God. Shawna shares the unique way that she was able to be close to them and what she prayed over them.

Shawna shares the core lie that has tried to destroy her life: “This world would be a better off without you.” But she’s finding freedom in knowing God sees her, loves her, and that she does belong in this world, to bless the world. God sees you!
