In this episode, we are talking about what it looks like to build discipline. Building discipline starts when we recognize our strengths and weaknesses are. The most successful people in the world are people who have self-discipline.
Self-control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
We have to learn to develop our self-control by building our self-discipline.
We cannot see the vision come to pass without having discipline.
Discipline starts with surrender.
We need to surrender our control to God’s vision and His plan for us.
We learn to commit to discipline when we have the conviction to make the commitment.
Proverbs 12:1
Provers 5:23- When you lack discipline you lead others astray.
Beware of ignorance, ignorance is when we choose to not take responsibility for our own perspective.
We cannot move forward toward God’s vision without discipline.Discipline- the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.
The keyword is to OBEY, God is calling us to OBEY his commandments.
1 Samuel 15:22- Obedience is better than sacrifice
There are 3 types of disciplines: Preventative, Supportive, and corrective.- These are the different categories of disciplines in every area of our life.
- Obedience also means consistency.
- God is calling us to be consistent in submitting to His vision in our life.
- The first step to being consistent is to be accountable.
- We have to start holding ourselves accountable to having daily obedience and communion with God.
· God loves those He disciplines.
· In order to become disciplined we need to ask ourselves to evaluate our convictions.
· Small disciplines every day lead to success.
· Discipline starts with convictions, obedience, and being consistent in carrying out the vision.
· It is through wisdom we build discipline.
· Wisdom: Making wise decisions that will bring provision and growth toward your vision.

3 things to build discipline
1) Communion- ask God what areas in your life you lack discipline
2) Conviction- ask God to reveal the areas in your life why you need discipline in that area
3) Commitment- choose to commit to building discipline in your life.
