I have been mostly tired. Processing everything that is happening in our world. I chose to show up because it is my commitment to keep showing up.Still, it is very important to care for ourselves so that we show up grounded, whole and clear.

There are probably many things that we suffer from as women and one of the more predominant ones is 'niceness' and it kills our creativity, silences our voices and forces us to shrink ourselves. In place of power and truth, there are fake smiles and eye rolls.

Mother's day came and went and there are some stories around that that I would like to highlight. Our mothers have been heroes, but their stories are not without difficulties.

We have fought for too long to be in a world as anything but ourselves; because for whatever reason we feel the need to tuck away what would actually be our superpowers. Fighting like a girl is fighting for better communities, better leadership, better relationships and a better world over all.

I guess it is time we embraced our strengths and walked into the world wearing those badges of honor.
