Natalia, Katya, & Alejandra are a mother-daughter trio behind the amazing business, Tipico Tico. Tipico Tico was created as a passion project to share their Guatemalan culture with the world. They create sustainable and ethically-sourced handbags and accessories from vintage textiles. Tipico Tico has allowed them to create numerous jobs and a steady income for Guatemalan artisans, as well as donate basic essentials to rural communities in Guatemala.

Melisa and her family immigrated to the Bay Area from Mexico when she was a child. Growing up, Melisa saw first hand the inequities the Latinx community faced in regards to medical care. This prompted her to seek a career in the medical field later in life. She is now a Registered Nurse and hopes to inspire the Latinx community to pursue career paths in the medical field and diversify the industry.

Amber is a proud daughter of Peruvian immigrants, and grew up in the Central Valley of California. She is currently a Senior Program Manager at the Latino Community Foundation where she helps lead the largest Latino donor network in the country. She is on a mission to mobilize the energy and talent of the Latinx community to create a more equitable society.

Valentina is an experienced social worker and small business owner of Mission Native Apparel, which she created as a love letter to her beloved San Francisco neighborhood. She is a first generation Xicana that is inspired by her Latinx culture and uses her business to celebrate the culture of the Mission District that has been greatly affected by gentrification.

Ana is a young Latina still defining her professional identity, while transitioning careers Ana hopes to shed light on the inequities women and people of color face in the corporate world. She is passionate about gender equality & earth sustainability and aims to make a positive impactful change with every opportunity she is given.

Michelle is a Senior Manager on the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging team at LinkedIn. She discusses her passion for empowering underrepresented groups and ensuring that their voice is being heard in the workplace.

Kassandra is an Artist and proud San Francisco native, her art is created to uplift and celebrate Bay Area culture. She uses her art to connect and empower her community and hopes to one day open an interactive art cafe where young artists can express their creativity.

Gabriela is a teacher and Vice President on the San Francisco Board of Education, being the youngest elected official in San Francisco.
