She Walks In Purpose

In the final episode of season 3, Jodi spends time pulling together what God has revealed throughout this season focused on His Presence.  Fear & faith are two specific focuses that Jodi speaks to and also she also ties in how control, our thoughts, and feelings will steer not only our focus, but how we relate and interact with God.  The two scripture passages Jodi uses are 1 John 4:13-18 and Galatians 3:23-25, other scripture passages include Romans 8:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 12:3, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 11:6, Psalm 46:10, John 1:1-3

Audrey Chambers, Jodi’s mom, joins her in episode 8 to share the significance of obscurity and walking in the presence of God. Using the scripture passage of Matthew 6:1-6, Audrey sets the stage for shifting our focus from ourselves to God. She shares the definition of obscurity and how our choice to accept God’s invitation means we are to turn and face His face.  This sums up what it means to BE with Him. Living in the Kingdom of God, we will be called into a deeper intimate relationship with Him and we all will have that choice to answer His call. The soul...how is it connected to knowing God?  Proverbs 4:20-27 reveals the connection of our ears, eyes, mouth, heart, mind, and feet to moving forward or Jodi likes to say 'being' with God.  Jodi also takes the time to talk about desires and how they will direct us as they are rooted in the very place that directs all things, our heart.  When God chooses us and we receive all of Him, He desires to capture our entire being, our entire heart, here lies the wresting of 'working out Salvation in fear and trembling.'  Other scripture passages Jodi used in this episode are: 1 Corinthians 4:7, Matthew 6:21, Psalm 51:10, Psalm 20:4, Psalm 139:23-24, Psalm 91:1-2, Philippians 2:12-13

The mind....what does God's Word show us about the mind, what worldly perceptions have we taken as truths, and how can we destroy the strongholds that hinder us from dwelling in His presence?  Jodi uses Mark 8:33, Matthew 22:37, Deuteronomy 11:18, Romans 1:18-25, 2 Corinthians 10:3-7, Psalm 139:23-24, Psalm 46:10, & Philippians 4:4-7 to help answer these questions.  She, as usual, uses her own life sharing to bring in the life application aspects.  "Where are you?" The question God asked Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:9, Jodi challenges us all to ask ourselves, where are we in relation to the Triune God.

Using the scripture passage of Mark 9:14-29, Jodi walks through what Jesus was revealing to the disciples and the dad of a boy oppressed by a spirit and the importance of where we place our faith. Faith is a gift from God and because of that, it has the capacity to grow. Jodi shares that our ears, our natural and inner being ears are connected to growing faith. The growth of faith within us increases our awareness of God’s presence. She also delves into what it means when sin can cause separation from God and what we must be aware of in our daily lives that can cause those hindrances.

Throughout season 3, Jodi will be diving into what God's presence is, what do we need to know about ourselves in relation to Him, how is this connected to our ‘being’, and how we can apply this to our daily walk in His presence. The focus of episode 2 is in the passages of Matthew 6:19-24 and all of Psalm 139 where she shares what we need to know about where our focus is and who our focus needs to be. Whether we are storing our treasures here on earth or whether our treasure is in heavenly things. Jodi points out that we cannot serve two masters and our heart motive is what Jesus looks at. The position of our hearts and our eyes will determine whether we live a life of abundance.
