And to share also, because "sharing is caring." So, after taking a "information overload fast" I decided to make some changes. In this episode, after making a literal move, God placed this in my spirit. As an RN, many times I have dealt with patients that were not only ill in their body, they were ill in their heart. After carrying around so much anger, hurt and pain in their hearts, they remained in bondage. This particular man in the story had been paralyzed for 38 years!!!! Now, that is a long time. As I read this story, I looked back over my own life and realized that I also had carried an unknown illness inside of me. In 2016 ,I was healed and made whole. ONLY BY WHAT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST. We are already healed, yet we have to acknowledge that we are sick and then receive the healing.
'There was a certain man there who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to get well?” The invalid answered, “Sir, I have no one to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am coming [to get into it myself], someone else steps down ahead of me.” Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your pallet and walk.” Immediately the man was healed and recovered his strength, and picked up his pallet and walked. N ow that day was the Sabbath. ' John 5:5-9
What emotional hurt, pain, unforgiveness, bitterness, anger are we taking into a new place? What is keeping you from moving forward? No matter what it is, God wants to do a new thing in you and through you.
Even though, I realize that may seem a bit easier said than done. But, if we don't acknowledge what we need to do, then we will remain stagnant. This process has helped me in aspect of my life. So I pray that it works for you as well. Give it a try.
