Moms, how many tabs are currently open in your brain?
This week on She Who Thrives, we're talking about the invisible mental and emotional load of motherhood and why August and early September can feel like absolute chaos.
From school schedules, sports, appointments, carpools, lunches, homework, forms, and a million different apps to worrying about whether our kids are happy, struggling, making friends, or getting enough attention. There's a LOT happening inside Mom's head that the rest of the family may never even see.
We talk about mom guilt, over scheduling our kids, asking for help, the difference between a partner "helping" and actually sharing responsibility, and why moms sometimes snap over something completely insignificant when they're already mentally overloaded.
We also dive into therapy and how valuable it can be for moms to have a place to work through stress, anxiety, guilt, expectations, relationships, and the emotional weight that comes with taking care of everyone else.
And we're asking an important question: Do our kids really need us to create a magical childhood, or do they simply need us to be present?
💡 Tip of the Week: Stop believing you have to carry everything just because you're capable of carrying it. Ask for help, let some shit go, and remember your kids don't need a perfect mom. They need a present one.
This week on She Who Thrives, we’re catching up on life after our San Diego family vacation.
We talk about the highs and lows of vacation rentals, beach days, SeaWorld, pool time, getting the kids ready for school, club sports, and all the random things happening in our lives.
Then the conversation gets a little deeper as we talk about: how phones and electronics are affecting families and relationships, mental health struggles, body image, online bullying, grief, and the importance of checking in on the people around you.
We also share a meaningful experience from visiting the cemetery for the kids’ dad’s birthday and talk about the signs we sometimes receive from the people we’ve lost.
⚠️ Content Note: This episode includes discussion of mental health and grief.
💡 Tip of the Week: Spend time with the people you love. It doesn’t have to cost money or involve a big trip. Put the phone down, be present, and make the ordinary moments count.
This week we're giving you a little life update and sharing all about our family vacation to San Diego!
We talk about: our favorite memories from the trip, spending time at SeaWorld, relaxing by the beach and pool, taking family pictures, and why quality time together is something we'll never regret.
Of course, we also share our not-so-perfect VRBO experience, from dirty floors to maintenance issues, and why vacation rentals don't always match the pictures online.
It's a lighthearted episode filled with laughs, travel stories, and reminders to slow down and enjoy the people around you.
💡 Tip of the Week: Spend time with the people you love. Get outside, soak up the sunshine, take a nap, and make memories that last longer than the vacation itself.
Sometimes the best conversations are the ones with absolutely no plan.
This week on She Who Thrives , we're catching you up on everything that's been happening lately: from Washington, D.C. trips and archery adventures to birthday celebrations, parenting stories, and the completely random rabbit holes that only the three of us can go down.
We talk about: Kaytlen's trip to Washington, D.C., Mindi's TAC archery shoot, recent and upcoming birthdays, life since Kaytlen moved back to Utah, parenting moments, gross habits, and everyday chaos, the ongoing mission to convince Harrisen to have another baby, and plenty of stories that somehow went from point A to point Z.
It's funny, completely unfiltered, and feels like sitting around the kitchen table catching up with friends.
💡 Tip of the Week: If you ask your daughter-in-law enough times for another grandbaby... maybe she'll finally cave. (Mindi's words, not ours!)
Harrisen is turning 27, so naturally we’re putting her in the hot seat.
This week on She Who Thrives, we’re getting to know the real Harrisen. From the little girl she used to be to the wife, mom, friend, and woman she is today.
We talk about: What she thought her life would look like at 27 versus how it actually turned out, getting married and becoming a mom young, finding an identity outside of motherhood, confidence, insecurities, friendships, and the things she’s still figuring out.
And because we couldn’t let her birthday episode get too serious, we also get into pet peeves, toxic traits, embarrassing habits, irrational fears, things her husband does that drive her crazy, and a few questions that put her completely on the spot.
It’s personal, funny, honest, and a little sentimental, basically everything a She Who Thrives birthday episode should be.
💡 Tip of the Week: Stop rushing your life because you think you should be somewhere else by now. There’s no timeline you have to follow. You’re allowed to change, grow, start over, and still be figuring things out.
Happy 27th Birthday, Harrisen!
This week on She Who Thrives, Kaytlen shares the story she's been waiting eight years to tell.
From leaving Utah and navigating life far from family to raising her children through difficult seasons and finally getting the opportunity to come home, this episode is about resilience, hope, and trusting that better days can still be ahead.
We talk about: Starting over, the impact difficult seasons have on children, what "coming home" really means, the challenges that shaped her, the lessons she's carrying into this next chapter.
This isn't just a story about moving, t’s about finding peace after years of uncertainty and believing that healing is possible.
💡 Tip of the Week: Life doesn't always happen on your timeline, but that doesn't mean your story is over. Keep moving forward. Sometimes the longest journeys lead you exactly where you're meant to be.
This week on She Who Thrives, we're celebrating Mindi's 52nd birthday with a special episode all about her life, lessons, growth, and the woman she's become.
From childhood memories and life's unexpected twists to confidence, aging, motherhood, relationships, and everything in between, we're asking Mindi the questions you've never heard before.
We talk about: Growing up and childhood memories, life's biggest lessons, confidence and aging, dreams, goals, and bucket-list adventures, funny stories, rapid-fire questions and what she's learned after 52 years of life.
This episode is heartfelt, funny, inspiring, and a reminder that every chapter of life has something beautiful to offer.
💡 Tip of the Week: Don't put an expiration date on yourself. Keep moving your body, taking care of your health, chasing experiences, and living life fully. The best years don't have to be behind you.
This week on She Who Thrives, we're doing a life update episode, and no topic was off limits.
From Mindi's Florida anniversary trip and upcoming family vacations to Kaytlen's court update and Harrisen's hopes of being selected for jury duty, we catch you up on what's been happening behind the scenes.
We also dive into documentaries like Crash and the Murdoch trial, reality TV drama, online bullying, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and some heavier conversations around racism, unconditional love, and why families should never have to choose between love and acceptance.
It's honest, emotional, frustrating, thought-provoking, and exactly the kind of unfiltered conversation you'd have catching up with friends.
💡 Tip of the Week: Don't be a racist asshole. Love people. Respect people. And if prejudice is something you're holding onto, maybe it's time to do some soul-searching.
This week on She Who Thrives, we’re talking about Ozempic, body image, beauty standards, and the pressure women constantly feel to look a certain way.
From the return of the “skinny trend” to social media comparison, influencer culture, and the emotional side of body image, this conversation goes deeper than just weight loss.
We talk honestly about: Why Ozempic became such a massive topic, the impact social media has on body image, the pressure women silently carry, body positivity vs wanting to lose weight, mental health, confidence, and self-worth, learning to care for yourself without becoming consumed by perfection.
This episode is not about judging anyone’s choices, it’s about having a real conversation about the impossible standards women are constantly navigating.
💡 Tip of the Week: Your body is not a trend. You do not need to constantly “fix” yourself to be worthy.
This week on She Who Thrives, we’re talking about the childhood summers that shaped us.
For some people, summer meant freedom, cousins, bikes, sprinklers, vacations, and staying out until the streetlights came on. For others, summer felt stressful: switching houses, custody schedules, instability, or trying to navigate divorced and blended family dynamics.
In this episode, we talk about: Childhood summer memories, growing up in divorced or blended families, how childhood experiences affect us as adults, summer parenting, vacations, and keeping kids entertained.
This conversation is nostalgic, emotional, relatable, and a reminder that kids don’t need perfect summers, they just need to feel safe, loved, and connected.
💡 Tip of the Week: Stop chasing perfection and focus on connection. Those are the memories kids carry forever.
