We've finally made it to one of the most important arcs in TMNT history, Mirage's City at War. We start with the emotional Shades of Grey story and finish with issue #55, about half way through the influential City at War Arc.

The Shellheads officially say goodbye to one of the darkest chapters in TMNT history, Saban's short-lived live action show, Ninja Turtles: Next Mutation.

In 1987, Mirage launched Tales of the TMNT as a companion to their flagship ongoing book. It was short lived and can easily be seen as filler, but the stories and characters in the pages of these 7 comics have been some of the most influential in all of Turtles lore. In this VERY special episode of Shellheads, we connect with writer and artist Sophie Campbell on the eve of her taking the reigns of the IDW TMNT. With issue #101, Campbell will be the main writer and artist on the on-going TMNT book. Her first arc will explore the lives of the now 5 Turtles after the events of the tremendously impactful City at War story. We chat about Sophie's history with the TMNT, and how she came to be the person ushering in the next comic-book chapter of the our beloved Turtles.
