One of the great invitations Jesus makes to His deeply rooted followers is the invitation to fellowship and connection with the Father through prayer.

So many of us live under the suffocating weight of the approval (or disapproval) of others. Jesus tackles this head up, calling His apprentices to a life of self-forgetfulness.

God’s heart for His followers is that they salt the earth and light the world – to permeate all of society with His presence and love.

Blessed are those who recognize their deep dependency on God. No matter how bad things might get, it’s possible to rejoice, not in our circumstance, but in who Jesus is.
