SH//FT Perspective episodes

  • Episode 5
In Episode 5, we have a classic fireside chat. We get to jawing on everything from wrestling dogs to vagabond trucking. In between our nattering we get into some more serious topics like the social effects of quarantine, social media echo chambers, and exercise motivation. Enjoy the show! We sincerely hope you hear something that shifts your perspective.

  • Episode 4
In Episode 4, BMack is live from a mountain top and I am, sadly, still at sea level. We get into personal accountability and how not to become an a$$hole. We also touch on the power and limitation of spoken language, freedom and drugs, and somehow manage to connect that to lessons from dogs. Everything is everything (I suppose). We sincerely hope you hear something that shifts your perspective. Enjoy.

  • Episode 3
In Episode 3, we do a bit of review on Alex Hutchinson’s (of Outside Magazine) recent article on human energy systems. True to our conversational style, Brian and I go off on some tangents to include Gabor Mate and the effects of emotions on energy and disease. As usual, Rob can’t help talking about Jiu-Jitsu in some way and Brian talks about emotional stability (or lack thereof). We eventually bring it back around to lactate being the preferred energy source for emergency response and fight or flight mechanisms. We sincerely hope you hear something that shifts your perspective. Enjoy.

  • Episode 2
Episode 2 was recorded on New Year’s Day 2021. Brian and I get into the reality of Nature, 2020 melancholy, and the relationship between dog pajamas and human conditioning. We also spiral into how fragile we are, opportunity in stressful situations, and the difference between Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr (which isn’t as obvious as you might think: Steve is shorter, duh). We sincerely hope you hear something that shifts your perspective. Enjoy.

  • Episode 1
In Episode 1, we get our feet wet with this whole podcast thing. Brian and I have a conversation like many we’ve had before. We go on rants about how awesome it is to be a kid, the magic of consistent behavior over single-serving thinking, and even anxiety and poor breathing in elite athletics. We sincerely hope you hear something that shifts your perspective. Enjoy.
