It's tight at the top after a thrilling Round 8 which saw all three clashes resolved in the final session of the last day. NSW look to have booked a home final after beating a dogged Redbacks side, while Victoria edged Queensland and Tassy produced a miracle against WA.

Brodie returns to the show for the first time in 2020, and the boys are also joined by The Final Word's Geoff Lemon for a look at the Shield and the Women's T20 World Cup.

The Sheffield Shield is set up for an intriguing final month following an action-packed Round Seven, with wins for Queensland, Victoria and South Australia tightening up the table.

Round 5 of the Sheffield Shield saw a dour MCG draw, an epic Redbacks choke and a Queensland demolition job. Round six promises similar action, with the boys looking ahead to a top of the table clash between NSW and Queensland, Victoria hosting WA, and George Bailey's farewell clash in Tasmania.

The Australian's Peter Lalor also joins the show to discuss the MCG pitch, young Australian talent, future Test captains and plenty more. 

Concussion subs, floppy hats, and David Warner's 334* are also on the agenda. 

Round 5 of the Sheffield Shield will see the winless Vics host an undefeated NSW outfit, Tasmania take on a rampaging Queensland Bulls side, and South Australia have another crack at ending their 646 day winless run, against WA. 

The boys also discuss Shaun Marsh's Marsh Cup dominance, the possibility of Papua New Guinea playing cricket in Australia, and start a campaign to get Test cricket back at the WACA. 

The boys review a massive round of Sheffield Shield action, which saw the NSW juggernaught continue their dominance of the competition. Queensland staged one of the great Sheffield Shield comebacks, while South Australia came agonisingly close to a breakthrough win.

The Age's Daniel Cherny joins the show to discuss the prevalent issue of mental illness in cricket, and give his views on the Australian squad selected for the first Test against Pakistan.

And NSW's rising star batsman Daniel Solway speaks about his road to the Sheffield Shield, and what it's like to share a changing room with stars of Australian cricket.
