Matt is Founder and CEO of Mindfull Aus, a non profit organisation doing amazing work in the Mental Health space. Matt's passion and drive is spurred on by the loss of 6 mates to suicide. His reason for Mindfull Aus was simple "I just want to teach people what I wish I had of known growing up, I know if I had of been this knowledgable about Mental Health & Suicide as I am now I could of potentially still be able to share laughs and memories with those mates I've lost. I know personally my life would of been a lot different and now I have that opportunity to ensure the next generation doesn't walk into the unknown like I did".

Christian and I aren't fans of new years resolutions so we decided to look back at 2017 and compile a list of "what went right" and what "didn't go so right".

We both had no idea what the other had written down and it was interesting to see some of the same struggles we shared. We got vulnerable with our flaws and also had a good laugh at the year that was. Enjoy!

Chris has so much going on in his life these days, Founder and CEO of The Zenith Network, building a house with his wife and about to embark on a year long experiment to be 'Deliberately Better'. A lot of what he has going on now originates from a place of struggle and pain. A bad drug trip kicked off 2 years of severe anxiety, although very tough at the time, Chris points to this as the most important period of growth in his life. After playing basketball at a high level with names such as Andrew Gaze, and being an incredibly fit and healthy young man with a happy-go-lucky attitude, addiction took over Jack’s life.

Over many years Jack used daily, cocktailing intravenous ice use with an array of prescription medication, marijuana and alcohol. This lead Jack to psychosis, suicide attempts, overdoses, homelessness, abuse, crime, broken relationships, malnutrition, family destruction and bitter regret. After having his life flash before his eyes whilst looking in the mirror, Jack checked in for treatment.

It wasn't too long ago that Glenn was overweight, addicted to drugs and facing jail time. Wow how things have changed! Glenn is now an author and runs the Youth YOU Program in Melbourne, Australia. A Program designed to help people get off drugs and empower them to live the life they always wanted. One things that clearly jumped out to me was that Glenn CARES, it's apparent. If I had to describe Marko in one word it would be 'Connected', however it wasn't always that way and that's what we dive into in this episode. We travel through Marko's story of being in the fitness industry then turning to more of a holistic health model. Then a trip to South America which changed the way he looked at life. Mick is probably the most interesting person I know. He works in IT, building websites and being the self proclaimed "Google Whisperer". Mick is also a beast! He's 110kgs of muscle with flowing blonde locks. He sings in a metal band and does some acro yoga.

We talk about where his thirst for experience came from and also get to dive into the darker times in his life, which was very interesting for me because the Mick I know now is polar opposite from what he describes in this episode. We talk about how he made the shift.

Bianca and I dive deep into addiction in this episode, we talk about her history with drugs which started at 12 years of age and saw her become an ice addict through her 20's. There's some powerful stories about her darker times but also what led her out of addiction to be now 2.5 years clean. All of what he's doing now stems from a dark period of depression which we delve into. 

There was a real theme to this episode and that was stepping into your fears, and Nick is such an incredible example of this.
