Aaron has had an interesting journey, he was a successful amateur boxer, winning an ABA title and at one point looking like he may go pro. He then spent time finding a new purpose in life and his passion for music took over leading to him becoming one of the most successful DJ’s on the UK’s underground music scene.

In this episode Aaron talks about how his mindset from those early days as a boxer influenced his approach to his music career, in his own words, when he puts his mind to something its “All or nothing…”

Fredrick founded a company called Rotary Rocket back in 1995, a company which was a pre cursor to the likes of Space X and Virgin Galactic. Since then he’s leveraged his expertise in this field to help projects in the advance technologies sector raise finance and bring ideas to market. Strictly speaking he works in the private equity, but his business and personal story are far more interesting and nuance than that industry name or job title would suggest.

Hospital Records is the biggest label in Drum n Bass and amongst the biggest labels in dance music. They’ve been going for 25 years and their roster of artists includes the likes of; Netsky, High Contrast and Danny Byrd all of whom have had mainstream chart success.

We got Chris down to the studio to have a chat and bit of a trip down memory lane, talking about the labels humble beginnings when he and Tony where working out of a bedroom in Tottenham, all the way through to dealing with festivals and Covid restrictions. Its been quite a journey…

Chris is an incredibly engaging guest and an awesome story teller, we sat around asking questions for a further 25 mins once the cameras stopped rolling. We are super excited to have him feature on the show and have been looking forward to putting this out since the recording finished.
