The unknown is often where the enemy lays his trap, waiting to ensnare us with fear. He whispers lies of “what if’s” and “worst-case scenarios” hoping to get us to take the bait of forgetting God’s goodness and faithfulness. The enemy’s desire is for us to live in disappointment, discouragement, and hopelessness. However, it is in these shadowy valleys of uncertainty that we need to release our control to the Heavenly Father, believing that He is more responsible than we are. We choose to meditate on His faithfulness, goodness, and promises for our lives.

What circumstance in your life is trying to have more influence on your thoughts than the Holy Spirit? How might you release control of this circumstance to Him so that you might receive His peace?
