Leading the GEMS U19 back to the podium in an electrifying Silver medal campaign Coach Renae Garlepp takes us behind the scenes of the FIBA U19 Women's World Cup in Czechia and a talented squad of rising stars. 

As an NBL1 East Championship Coach, Renae Garlepp has experienced an amazing trajectory in her coaching journey in recent years. 

Winning an Oceania Gold with the Sapphires last year, she was awarded the FIBA U19 Womens World Cup’s Best Coach in the GEMS Silver Medal campaign. 

Renae mentors many up and coming future stars in her role not only at National level but also in NBL1 and as an assistant coach in the WNBL where alongside Head Coach Guy Molloy, guided the Sydney Flames to a gobsmacking playoffs berth despite several injuries.

A great insight into the stories behind her coaching experience and approach in mentoring young aspiring players.

Gangurrus Assistant Coach Hannah Lowe is the latest recruit as part of Australia’s prep in the 3x3 boom. She talks Growth & Grit in a whirlwind 3x3 year for the Gang!

Despite falling short in the QF to World Champs the Netherlands, the squad have earned a Champions Cup podium, their 3rd consecutive Asia Cup Gold, first place at the Mongolia Women’s Series and were undefeated in the World Cup group phase just this year. 

We take a moment to reflect after a hectic few months on the growth of 3x3 globally, the unprecedented number of fans in Mongolia and the Gangurrus evolving brand and hype.
