In this episode we are chatting with Stephanie Russle Jacobs. a.k.a @psycologicallysafesteph.
Stephanie is a hairstylist turned psychological safety coach. This seemingly random career change unveiled itself naturally as her path in life led her to have to recover from low self-esteem, burn-out and a mental illness diagnosis.
Having experienced psychologically unsafe and toxic relationships at home and work, she’s on a mission to help people prioritize well-being and learn to reduce the fear within themselves and how they interact with others. She has developed a program for service-based small businesses (salons, spas, massage therapy, etc.) to help them create an environment where they thrive personally and professionally through a psychologically safe culture.
Our conversation consisted of:
What does being psychologically safe mean
How does this relate to the hair industry
What is non negotiable when it comes to salon environments
What’s keeping us unmotivated
What is the basis of wellbeing
And tangible tools and tips you can and start with today
Even a little AHA moments in there too!
We love chatting about this topic and will more than likely be continuing this conversation.
