It’s a Short Stack Story first! Liv and Jackie are joined by guest narrator Madeline Grey DeFreece for her reading of “The Alchemy of His Own Mirror” by Vincent Anioke. It tells the story of a growing friendship between a man and his barber, and the author’s prose is simply hair-raising.

This week on Short Stack Stories, Jackie reads “Swamp Creatures” by Caleb Tankersley and takes us on a swim through the murky waters of a troubled marriage on the bayou.

On the season two premiere of Short Stack Stories, Liv and Jackie reunite and Liv reads “Roach Heaven” by Susan English -- it’s almost like Marley & Me, if there were two hundred Marleys and they all had antennae and six legs.
