Jenny started an Instagram profile, JenVogue, which quickly gained a large following, and led to  endorsement deals with various companies. She made enough money to quit her job and become a full time Instagram model.  However, after eight years, her followers have stopped growing, and  existing followers have dropped. As a result, many of her endorsement  deals have ended, and she is left with only a few. Jenny is worried  about how she will pay for her extravagant life. In an effort to gain more followers, she continues to post heavily photoshopped pictures of herself, get an unhealthy amount of exercise, and lie to her  friends about her plans all while not feeling content with her life.

Angela and her young siblings, Johnny and Priscilla, are living in poverty with no parental supervision. Angela wakes up to a cold morning, and the fire has gone out and the food in the pantry is low. Angela then decides to do something fun with her siblings and announces a treasure hunt. The children imagine themselves as pirates and Angela draws a map, and the children set off on their treasure hunt.  The story highlights the struggles of a poor family, where even milk is a luxury. Angela's responsible and caring nature is evident as she takes care of her siblings and tries to provide them with a sense of adventure despite their circumstances.

After being forced together during their son's wedding after a long time of being divorced, Justine and Geoff reflect on what went wrong in their marriage.
