A man has been wrongly imprisoned for eleven years, and has finally been released.  While he waits to be released, he reflect on how they ended up in prison and the hardships they faced while incarcerated. He then leaves the prison and steps out into the  outside world for the first time in over a decade, feeling overwhelmed  and unsure of what to do next.

A farmer named Jimmy and his wife Carol, face a series of setbacks  on their farm. It begins with Jimmy's success growing wheat, which  allows him to expand the farm and purchase new equipment. However, the market becomes over saturated with wheat, causing the price to drop  dramatically. Jimmy is forced to stop planting wheat and consider switching to a different crop, but the drought makes it impossible for  anything to grow.  

This short story by Madeline Honig is about a couple, Paige and Matt, who are planning their wedding with the help of a famous wedding planner, Antonio. Paige is hesitant about the extravagance of the wedding, which is being heavily influenced by both her mother and Matt's parents, all of whom are wealthy and competitive with each other. The couple had previously considered eloping, but feel pressure to have a grand celebration. Antonio presents his ideas for the wedding, including an archway, white petals, doves, white cats, and possibly even a white tiger.  Paige and Matt are left feeling overwhelmed and unsure if they really want this lavish wedding or if they should elope as they originally desired.

In this short story, Billy and Allison meet at a rock show and spend the night together. The next day, they go to a sports bar to watch a football game. They chat and smoke cigarettes outside during a commercial break. Billy tells her about his life but she can't seem to open up. The story starts with a potential romantic relationship between the two characters, but ends poorly for both parties.
