Episode 39 I have my friend Steve Patiño aka Sneaker Steve whom I've known for the past 10 years or so. Steve grew up in Queens, New York where he was always up on the latest style from his clothing to his shoes. Steve would ditch school which led to graduating late from high school but something clicked when he attended college. He became a 4.0 student and transferred to an Ivy League school. Later he started consulting at DC Shoes, started businesses working with Lamar Odom and now at Android Homme.

This week I have one of the NBA's most respected veterans and author Caron Butler. At the age of 11 he became a drug dealer and was arrested 15 times. Turning to the bible and god, he saw the basketball court at his detention center as a sign and started taking the game seriously. Drafted by the Miami Heat in 2002, Caron has had an incredible career with stories to go along with it. In 2015, he released Tuff Juice: My Journey from the Streets to the NBA.

On this episode I have a very special guest who you all may know from Rob & Big and Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, my good friend Christopher "Big Black" Boykin. Spending 3 years in Guam and being a chef in the Navy he moved to San Diego & started his own security/limo business where he doubled as security and driver. Around this time he was picked to become Rob Dyrdek's security for the DC Skateboarding Video in which he formed his bond that everyone knows from MTV's Rob & Big.

In Episode 36 I sat down with comedian/tv host Matt Iseman who you may know from the show American Ninja Warrior. Matt grew up the son of a doctor & stay at home mom who loved sports. He received his B.S. at Princeton and M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He took some time off and moved to California and took his shot at being a comedian. He immediately knew this is what he wanted and starting working with the improv troupe The Groundlings.

Episode 35 I sit down with world famous dj/producer/tv host/entrepreneur DJ Skee. Skee grew up in Minnesota, at the age of 15 started DJing. He landed a job with Sony/Loud Records and moved out to California. As Steve Rifkind was handling the music side of the business, Skee took over marketing & was responsible for the exposure of the T-Mobile Sidekick within the music industry. After leaving Loud he produced 300 Bars by The Game. Mark Cuban dubbed him the "Oprah of Music"

Today's episode of Short Story Long is with my good friend Todd Tourso who is the creative director for Beyoncé. After high school he started taking graphic design & went to college at ArtCenter College of Design, in Pasadena. Creator of Plain Gravy which you may be familiar with from the t-shirt "PHARRELL CAN'T SKATE" which also got the attention from Pharrell. He's been an art director for Warner Bros Records, creative director at Flaunt Magazine & also worked with Lady Gaga for a few years.

I was fortunate enough to have one of my favorite authors Ryan Holiday sit down with me via Skype. Ryan is the author of books Trust Me I'm Lying, The Obstacle is the Way & Ego is the Enemy. He is also a media stategist, marketer & entrepreneur. Ryan attended the University of Riverside for 2 years before dropping out & taking an internship for writing. Taking the knowledge and guidance from both of his mentors Ryan took a job with American Apparel and was soon named marketing director of the brand.
