Episode 30 is with my good friend Omar Benson Miller who you may recognize from things like 8 Mile, Get Rich or Die Tryin' and HBO's Ballers. Omar grew up in Los Angeles and went to college at San Jose State University. Starting in Drama class Omar discovered that he could make money and get paid from acting. In 2002 he starred in Eminem's movie 8 Mile. Since then he's been on major shows like CSI: Miami & HBO's Ballers. Check out his podcast with his brother Terry called O-Zone.

This week I'm here with Andy Nguyen, co-founder of AFTERS Ice Cream and many other restaurants based out of Orange County, CA. Wanting the able to express his interests and have his own ideas Andy decided he would partner up and create the streetwear brand IMKING. During that 7 year period and traveling a lot, he took an interest in the food industry. In 2014, Andy & his partner Scott created AFTERS Ice Cream which has been highly successful with 9 locations and counting.

On Episode 28 of Short Story Long I sit down with one of the owners of The Leverage Chris Ngo. Attending a tradeshow in Las Vegas, Chris made his first sale and started his career change. Working as a sales director for multiple brands throughout the years he decided to start his own sales agency. Knowing the possibility of contracts ending Chris created his first of many brands, Embellish NYC Denim.

On Episode 24 I have co-founder/executive chef of the highly successful restaurant Eggslut, Alvin Cailan. After dabbling in the streetwear scene Alvin moved to Oregon telling no one but his brother. Learning Farm-to-Table Alvin worked for free and juggled jobs to become a great chef and perfect his craft.
