  • The Longest View in the Law Review Room

    Scott was granted access to the rarified air of the William & Mary Law Review office to record a short episode of ShotTakes with Eric....just kidding, they were at it for almost two hours. We threw the spotlight on some teams that haven't gotten enough attention yet, ran through the frontrunners for the NBA's "specialty awards" (6th Man, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved, Coach of the Year), reacted to the latest diagnosis in the Markelle Fultz saga/tragedy, and played a retrospective game of "what if" with Tracy McGrady's career. 

    And, oh—good luck to Scott on his exam tomorrow? This guy must really love [Kevin Durant Twitter voice] doing the f---in' podcast.

  • A Quarter Season of Takes

    We're back from a Thanksgiving hiatus to offer our hottest takes on the first quarter of the 2018-19 NBA season! With teams right around the 20-game mark, the crew (plus Husband of the Pod Alex Lester-Abdalla!) takes a step back to assess the state of the league and lay down some pronouncements. Afterwards, we talked about the turmoil in Washington—the Wizards, not the other stuff—lamented the ongoing tragedy of Markelle Fultz, played an ode to Luka Doncic, and more.   • Here Comes the Caravan
    A very full first week of NBA action calls for rampant speculation on what is going very right, and what is going very wrong for some of our preseason favorites! The crew also breaks down the recent trade talk on Jimmy Butler, and some hot takes brought to us by Rockets GM Daryl Morey and Ex-NBA Commissioner David Stern. Finally, we get on a bumpy ride down the #TrustIndex.
    In this episode, we made light of the "caravan" of migrants heading through South America and through Mexico to the U.S.-Mexico border. As good-hearted liberals, we hope that you recognize our words were intended to mock the President and his anti-migrant policies, rather than those making a dangerous trek away from home to seek a better life.
