  • Ep. 13 - Washington Breakdown
Returning to the studio this week, the Pod got back to business and recorded a clean audio file for our beloved listeners! We recapped our recent road trip into The District, and brought in our D.C. affiliate, Evan Tucker (@A_Nice_Boulder), to dive into the Wizard weeds. Afterwards, we reviewed the NBA's waiver wire to see if any transactions moved the needle, and reflected on some pre-All Star Break storylines that we missed. Then we opened up the mailbag, highlighted this week's best and worst of basketball internet, analyzed some data, and refreshed the Trust Index.
We shared all the feels this week over a few important issues in the news, but one that hit us all hard this week was the tragedy in  Parkland, Florida. We encourage all of our listeners to help out the victims and their families by donating to the Broward Education Foundation's fundraiser, or contacting your local, state, and federal representatives to advocate an end to gun violence in America.
You can help out the show by sending your questions and comments to our mailbag at [email protected], sliding into @ShotTakes's DMs, or leaving us a five star review on your podcast platform! As always, you can donate to the Pod (e.g., basketball tickets, adult beverages, new audio equipment, t-shirts) which will make you a featured episode sponsor and come along with some other cool perks.

  • Ep. 12 - Roadtrip/Trade Deadline Feels
Your favorite podcast is on the road! Literally - we recorded this episode while Elizabeth drove us in her rinky-dink car from Williamsburg to D.C. The Pod is split into three parts: (1) as the trade deadline ended, we broke down all the major deals and talked waiver pickups, (2) we opened up the mailbag to hear a couple of fresh takes from a loyal #AMDG listener, and (3) as we headed up to Chocolate City to watch Greg Monroe's Celtics take on the Wall-less Wizards, we provided laser focus analysis on the two teams slated in this TNT marquee matchup.

  • Ep. 11 - Blake-Buster Trade and NBA Injury Report
On the back half of this double episode drop, the Pod came to a surprisingly unanimous and odd decision on who won the Blake Griffin trade, and analyzed what each recent NBA injury means for the effected teams and players. Then, after the Pod broke down some notable date-uh/dAta, Elizabeth shared her true feelings about how the Pod discusses the Heat during Truth is Not a Hot Take.

  • Ep. 10 - The Drunk Episode
The pod celebrated its 10th Episode with hot takes, and cold drinks! During a recording where we dished out the most shots in any episode, we talked All-Star snubs, Jason Kidd packing his bags, and locker room drama. We also handed out NBA Fake News Awards, opened up the mailbag, asked the question on every listeners' mind: Does Scott Know This?

***Editor Note: The Pod sincerely apologizes for posting this show over a week after it was recorded (01/26/2018). Due to the amount of alcohol consumed while taping this episode, there was a lot of shouting and cross-talk. We chose to edit that out before presenting it to you, our beloved listeners. As the #1 rated podcast in America, we know that you expect excellence and we want to uphold that standard. But we also don't get paid to do this so sometimes our lives as law students get in the way. Thank you for sticking with us. We promise to be better in the future.***

  • Ep. 8 - The Pod Returns!
Your favorite podcast returned in the new year to recap what we missed over the break, digest some fresh Lebron data, and open up a very full mailbag. We reviewed Isaiah Thomas's retun, debated what the Houston Rocket's recent skid means in the NBA lexicon, and went deep down the rabbit hole to consider whether 40 years-young Vince Carter is currently playing alongside his son. Also, we furiously failed to create a top-5 basketball movies ranking, and Scott stepped up with the first #TruthIsNotAHottake of 2018: Kristaps Porzingus is overrated.
