There are fears that an attempt to patch up British and French relations could quite literally fray an ancient piece of art.
Last month French President Emmanuel Macron agreed to loan the British government the more than 900 year old Bayeux Tapestry.
But a petition to stop the transfer has now garnered more than 40,000 signatures.
