My daughter has been begging me to do an episode together. I finally caved and let her come on. I asked innocuous questions like her favorite color, her favorite book as well as some political questions and I must admit that I was very surprised at some of her responses. I learned that no matter how much I try to shield her from political conversations, she is listening and she is paying attention. She gave me hope for the future.

I had the opportunity and absolute pleasure of talking with Operation Underground Railroad's CFO Tevya Ware about the triumphs and struggles of the world of child trafficking. She describes in detail domestic and foreign operations and the parameters within which they have to work to have a successful rescue mission, she discusses building infrastructure and changing culturally accepted norms and the hard but rewarding work that aftercare involves.
Child trafficking is a subject that I am more passionate about than anything. If we do not come together to protect our children, what kind of world can we expect to leave for them and generations after?
