To wrap up this season of the pod, Dave shows Guy MIZERY from 2023, directed by Daddy Love. This gender-swapped version of Stephen King classic MISERY is a true Tubi trip to hell, replete with a complete lack of foley, incomprehensible plotting, and fumbled lines left in the edit. Dave tries to make sense of who Daddy Love is, and we discover that this not only rips off just one film, but also M. Night Shyamalan's SPLIT. What a dumb way to finish off a very dumb season.

In this episode, Guy unfortunately shows Dave JUNKO from 2017. JUNKO is a retelling of the horrifying Junko Furuta concrete-encased high school girl murder case... from India. Yes, you read that correctly... INDIA. From long baffling tangents to impromptu musical numbers, this is undoubtedly the most rotten film we've covered this season, leaving us both in a fit of inconsolable rage. Get ready for a lot of rants and Guy's grim unpacking of all previous Junko Furuta movies. We're so sorry.

This episode has been in the works for a long time with Dave digging through defunct websites and hunting down cast members. So much mad stuff is uncovered. Connections to strip club kings. Exploding pig corpses. Sets painted with... well... just listen!

In this episode, Guy shows Dave DIABOLICAL INHERITANCE aka HERENCIA DIABÓLICA aka MEXICAN CHILD'S PLAY, a Mexican killer doll movie from 1994. This lethargic outing doesn't have that much in common with film it's supposedly a "rip-off" of, but it does feature the "world's smallest actor" dressed up as a very upsetting looking clown with a silly hat. Also featured: a strange tangent at a demented funfair, excruciating slow-motion murder sequences, and a boy named Roy.

BOLLYWOOD EVIL DEAD has had a profound effect on Dave over the last decade and a bit, playing on his mind regularly and warping his understanding of the word "rascal". It's from 1995 (kind of), directed by and starring musclebound hunk Shinichi Fukazawa. This film is a true work of love, and its incredibly drawn out making of is a testament to Fukazawa's endurance and dedication. One of our more heartwarming episodes!
