If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog or an online business using your creative hobbies, but you’re struggling to choose a niche, this episode is for you.
You can watch this as a video over here: https://youtu.be/-975Xd9Te90?si=FlDooBx3VmsTLbo2
When I started my blog, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to focus on. I had lots of interests and didn’t want to box myself into just one thing. So I wrote about everything I was curious about: crafts, knitting, sewing, painting, journaling, gardening, recipes, self-care, business, etc.
Over time, I noticed two important things:
- What I enjoyed creating
- What people actually wanted to read and search for
In this episode, I talk about:
- Whether you really need a niche to start a blog or YouTube channel
- How experimenting helped me find what worked
- Why being a beginner can actually be an advantage
- How a few high-ranking posts can support your entire creative business
- A simple brainstorming exercise to help you get started
If you’re a multi-passionate creative and want to build a slow, sustainable online business without turning your hobby into something you hate, I hope this encourages you to start.
