n this episode, I catch up with my day one and OG It’s Showoff Season host, BurgerJoe my best friend and one of the original voices of this podcast.

We keep it raw and real as we talk about his journey into fatherhood, how life’s been evolving, and of course, we had to get into fitness talk (spoiler: we still hate cardio 😂). This one’s a laid-back, shoot the-shit type convo full of laughs, memories, and grown-man gems.

Whether you’ve been rocking with us since day one or you’re new to the show, this episode’s got that real one on one energy.

This one’s a little different—it’s me letting y’all know what’s up.

I finally took that long-awaited vacay to LA 🌴—a bucket list trip that’s been on my heart for years. Then I came back to NYC and hit up a dope mixer with Black Film Space, where I met some incredible people, made connections, and felt that creative energy that only community can bring.

In this episode, I’m shouting out some of the folks I met (and yes—I owe y’all an apology for butchering a few names and IG handles 😅, I’ll tag everyone properly on the Gram).

Most importantly: I’m locked in, focused, and ready to be great.

Tap in and catch the vibe.

In this episode, I catch you up on two incredible back-to-back weekends that were all about Black excellence, creativity, and community.

🗓️ First up: I attended the “Surrounded By Stories” film showcase at SVA Theatre where I got to speak with actors Tristan Mack Wilds and Patrick Walker. The vibe was full of creatives, and the energy was unmatched.

🎥 Next stop: The Jonesing – New York All White Party and premiere of a friend’s feature film at AMC Empire 25. This event was not only visually stunning but full of inspiration, connections, and support.

Both events reminded me of the power of community, networking, and just showing up where we’re celebrated. These all-Black spaces felt like home and creative fuel at the same time.
