The premier of the Dune spinoff Dune: Prophecy, the prequel series that takes place more than 10,000 years before the death of Paul Atreides.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2: The second batch of episodes from Cobra Kai’s final season have been released, Jim and Jakob discuss their overall feelings so far with a spoiler free section and then get into all the details and what that could mean for the end of the show.

01:57 – With NYCC finishing up last weekend, we got a lot of news being released. The most important to us is some more information about the upcoming release of “The Karate Kid: Legends” the film that combines the original film with the Jackie Chan reboot. A poster has been released and some descriptions of the trailer that was screened. Now what makes this TV news is we have more speculation of how this ties into or is effected by Cobra Kai!? Will it be completely separate? Will they hand wave it away? Will it have direct repercussions from the series finale of Cobra Kai?! Let’s SPECULATE.

18:19 – Yet another remake of Carrie is in the works, but this time in TV form! Yawn you all say, BUT Mike Flanagan is involved? Instant interest when Flanagan is attached.

26:04 – WHAT TV SHOWS HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING!?

26:20 – Jim has reality twofer for you all as he checked out the show THE SUMMIT. This show is essentially Survivor on a mountain. A group of people have 14 days to get to the summit of a mountain and make one million dollars. Of course alliances start to form and human nature takes over as they are put through challenges and need to whittle down the numbers.

35:07 – Jim has also been watching HOUSE OF VILLAINS Season 2. A tongue in cheek reality competition that pits the biggest reality villains against each other in a house to crown Reality’s Greatest Villain and collect their $200,000 dollar prize.

40:03 – Jakob has been watching the new MAX show “The Franchise”. A satirical look at the creation of a superhero blockbuster that is produced by Armando Iannucci. Does it live up to it’s lofty heights?

Jim has watched the Netflix docuseries, Mr. McMahon. Jakob has no frame of reference for professional wrestling, listen as Jim attempts to explain it to Jakob and see if he can pique his interest in this new docuseries around wrestling’s Walt Disney.

Jakob is here to teach us about the British comedy-drama series created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst. The show is currently in it’s sixth season but Jakob is just getting started. Does he recommend?

40:28 – WHAT TV SHOWS HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING?

41:05 – Jim has checked out the first episode of the History Channel docuseries event, American Godfathers: The Five Families. A pretty straight forward but enjoyable look at the history of the American Mafia, narrated by Michael Imperioli.

48:00 – Jakob has been doing a rewatch of the Netflix mockumentary series American Vandal. A very underrated show that is well worth a watch or a rewatch if you have already seen it.

54:55 – Jim has watched the first episode of Chimp Crazy, the follow up docuseries from the people that brought you Tiger King. Does this show live up to the frenzy that their previous show delivered on?

D23 finished up this past weekend with sneak peeks at a bunch of Disney+’s upcoming television slate. We got Marvel shows, Disney shows and of course STAR WARS. Jim has been excited for “Skeleton Crew” for quite a while and now we have our first glimps with a trailer!

40:47 – Jim has been watching MTV’s “THE CHALLENGE”! Season 40 is on the horizon and Jim has seen “Episode 0” that gets everyone up to date with the current “Eras” that will be battling it out and setting the stage. Jim also gets into the basic nostalgia around the show and the feeling of growing up with these people.

46:58 – Jakob is now fully caught up with Apple TV’s “Sunny”. He is now ahead of Jim on the show and has similar thoughts, no spoilers but we get into our current thoughts and where we hope it is going.

51:02 – Jim keeps the Apple TV+ discussion going as he has finally decided to check out “Presumed Innocent”. The Jake Gyllenhaal television show based on the novel that was also a Harrison Ford movie from the 90s.

56:44 – And finally, Jim has also been checking back in with season 4 of “Evil” as the show builds towards it’s series finale.
