He adopts a family-friendly approach to education and has organized over 80 mushroom classes, teaching more than 1,800 students since 2021 His passion for mushroom foraging skyrocketed when he found a naturally occurring Psilocybe cubensis mushroom in southeastern Oklahoma Jacob later released the same landrace genetics to the community as “Oklahoma Wild” Fast forward to today, @oklahomafungi , @capt.tripps_ , and @communityfarmz have been spreading these same Psilocybe Cubensis genetics across the country Last but not least, Jacob is also writing the Mushrooms of Oklahoma Field Guide to help enthusiasts identify the native mushrooms that can be found growing in our state

The 2nd Annual Oklahoma Mushroom Festival will be on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th from 10am-5pm in the Modern Living Building at the OKC Fairgrounds
This Two Day Mushroom Festival is 100% Family-Friendly event with 100+ Market Vendors, 35+ Expert Speakers, 20 Mushroom Presentations, 10 Workshops, and Food Vendors Children 13 and Under are Free to Enter
