  • EP 70 - THE FUTURE OF LIVE THEATER with Chad Austin Pierce (Chad Damiani)

As we know, "theater is dead, a putrid vessel of the forgotten time. The kind of putrid when the skin becomes wax and raccoons not only feed but make love to what's left of the flesh." These are the quotes from today's interview with Chad Austin Pierce, a distinguished theater actor "from one of the Americas," who's graced the stage at many places we never heard of, like Monte's Carnegie Hall (different from *the* Carnegie Hall).

Chad Austin Pierce, who proudly doesn't own a pen and refers to writers as "scribblers", predicts that standup comedy will save live theater. He gifts us with a brand-new standup routine where each joke is prefaced with an extensive backstory and character development. "If They're Laughing Too Much, They're Not Bothering To Think." Enjoy, just prepare to hear the word "putrid" a lot.

  • EP 69 - FRAPP WARRIOR BY DAMIANA GARCIA with Damiana Garcia

Damiana Garcia is back, y'all! She's here to defend - no, wait, to PROMOTE her new post-apocalyptic barbarian novel called "FRAPP WARRIOR" that takes place at a Starbucks. Damiana gives us a generous preview of her yet unwritten opus ("Better than The Dark Tower") and even reads us a few excerpts.

In fact, we'll give you a preview right here, in the episode description. Here's the first sentence form the novel: "It was the year 3000..." It all gets bananas from here.

  • EP 68 - JORDAN JONAS and ZACH GREEN of ALONE

Dude, drop everything you're (not)doing and listen up. This here in front of your ear holes is a historic reunion between survivalus maximus JORDAN JONAS of the badass TV show ALONE and ZACH GREEN, one of the show's creators.

***BTDUBS, MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ALONE SEASONS 6 and 7***

Do Zach and Jordan believe in luck playing a major part in one's winning the show? Is Jordan regretting being so insanely pissed off about his location? What was the darkest thought haunting him during his Arctic solitude? Does guest cohost Jay Hunter fail to apologize to Jordan for previously describing his voice as "dimwitted"? And does Jordan use that voice to bless us with a brief but startling Tuvan-ish throat singing? Listen to find out.

Listen to Episodes 58 and 67 for more discussions of ALONE.

  • EP 67 - NIKKI VAN SCHYNDEL of TV SHOW ALONE with Heidi Gardner, Zeb Wells and Nikki van Schyndel

Nikki van Schyndel is one of the most incredible souls from TV show ALONE Season 6 (or TV, period. Or life). She is that lady with a great attitude who accidentally hurt herself a bunch but didn't let that stop her. Her teddy bear made from a dead rabbit will haunt my dreams forever.

This week, we've got two special co-hosts: Heidi Gardner (SNL) and Zeb Wells (SUPERMANSION, SHE-HULK), both fans of Nikki and ALONE. They know nothing about "the survival industry" (as Zeb puts it) so we had fun juxtaposing their "strategies" of surviving on ALONE with Nikki's. Nikki recalls her experiences on the show and tells us some crazy-ass stories including talking trees, purring predators and, most importantly, reveals how she feels about that bad mofo Jordan Jonas.

What's up, kids. This one is for you. Actor/comedian/charming individual David Horn joins us to praise one of the coolest kids TV shows out there: AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER. It's kind of like GOT but for children. Except, some episodes take on very mature topics. You might even get scared. In a good way. Also, is this even an anime? Listen to find out.

  • EP 65 - STANDUP COMEDY with Marco (Chad Damiani)

Does the state of standup comedy keep you up at night? So we thought. Enter our special guest, "Marco from security" (aka comedian/writer/actor/clown Chad Damiani), who's seen - though not heard - a lot of stand-up comedy over the years. Enough to pitch a solution on how to make it better.

Listen to Marco tell us a terrifying story involving a pint of animal blood and his mom with an unusual bust size. Enjoy Marco reading jokes from a notebook he claims to be someone else's. And when we say "jokes," we mean phrases like "If you get a job at Butt World, you always start on a fart time basis" or chafes like "Orgasm werewolf: a full moan instead of full moon" and "maxi pad Thai." Get angry, laugh and set yourself free.

Tad Roasts Movies (aka comedian Mark Sipka) is here to defend the only movie that's worth watching: The Wizard of Oz! Now, dear listeners, TBH, this guest gave us a lot of headache. Will describes his three-tier system for all the restaurants... See if it makes sense cause I still have no idea (it's Sasha btw). Now, we're NOT about to defend Chick-fil-A... but we'll talk about it a lot. We also discuss Podorognik, a 90s sandwich chain in Siberia. About Shut Up I Love It

From the publisher's feed

Many years ago, Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello met in line for an improv show. They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.
