Sidenote Podcast with Ashley & Tyler

Ashley starts us off this week telling us about her roller skate shoes. We're back baby, with our first ever guest on the podcast. This week our friend Ashley joins Tyler and Ashley to discuss the Love Languages and Four Tendencies quizzes, their results and if it matches their personalities or not. Also, diving into a few side conversations. Tune in now :)

This week Ashley starts us off informing us of her vacation time and the rage room. Tyler goes on a long rant of why Euphoria and Maid are two shows she really enjoys even though their dark. Then jumping into the tiktok trending topic of weaponized incompetence. While Ashley provides research on a scary true crimeish story. Wrapping the episode with this months book of the month!

Book of the Month - The One Hundred Years of Lennie and Margot by Marinne Cronin. A story about seventeen-year-old Lennie, who is terminally ill living in the hospital. While attending art class meets Margot and while completing an art project a beautiful friendship is born.   

Ashley and Tyler discuss the technical difficulties they've been having and how they each brough in the New Year. Tyler talks about all of the movies she watched and how she binged the newest season of Queen Eye. Which lead Ashley and her into a long conversation about the show, decorating and Tyler's rant on the game show she watched. Ashley reviews the longest snap streak and if she and Tyler can beat it. Lastly, Tyler brings up forgiveness and if she believes in it.

This week Tyler starts off the episode explaining how she almost didn't make it to 2022 when she fell down her steps. The girls discuss all of their favorite memories, movies, music and tv from 2021. While Ashley thinks of a double meaning for word of the year and gives this months vet tech corner.

This week Tyler goes on a tangent about people spoiling movies that just came out and how passionately she feels about it, while Ashley is Switzerland. Ashley tells the tale of her now broken glasses. While the ladies chat about everything from shows, Jake Paul, how to do gingerbread houses in pre-k and more

This week Tyler and Ashley talk about their weekends, concert plans and surprise trips for friends

The girls go into the conversation of why have podcasts become so popular. While shouting out some of their favorite podcasts (Office Ladies, Drama Queens, Goblet of Wine, Muder with my Husband and This is Important) Tyler asks Ashley where she'd like to travel, but it was misinterpreted as time travel for the podcast. Tyler and Ashley debate time travel and time period. While Ashley talks about school stories and what you can and cannot live without. 

Ashley and Tyler review their 2021 Apple and Spotify wrap ups. What has changed, what has stayed the same and how much they enjoy these wrap ups. Ashley finally watched the Jonas Brother's roast letting the girls have a conversation if they enjoyed this roast or not. Tyler brings up going to spouse's holiday parties and the awkwardness at first.

BONUS BONUS because Ashley and Tyler have been recording Sidenote for ONE YEAR! Can you believe it? They start the episode talking about Ashley's hangover from drinking while decorating, then dive into how they feel after recording for one year. Tyler asks if Ashley throught we'd be doing this, this long? Annnnd they listen to pieces of their first episode ever. Wrapping up with their goals for the next year of Sidenote.

Ashley and Tyler talk about their holiday week and weekend, which leads Ashley to talk about her not like rimmed beer. Tyler talks about her anxiety when hosting a party and going into mom mode. They also discuss Cyber Monday and why Tyler cannot stand having a ton of unread emails in her inbox. Ashley asks the question if you are pet person or not? And how we've always been pet people. Tyler ends the episode with the hot topic of women getting questioned if they want to have kids or not, and they dive deep into why this isn't an appropriate question. They also introduce the new 25 days of music playlist for this month!
