Today, my daughter and I are having a very untraditional tea party. I built a hyper-realistic capybara cake sitting inside a fully functional, drinkable punch bowl! To keep a gallon of tea off my floor, I had to figure out how to disguise a basic plastic bowl as a weathered wooden barrel using just modeling chocolate, food coloring, and edible rust. Building and texturing the capybara was easily the best part of this project. The final result is insane - and yes, you can actually drink the tea right out of the cake!
