Communities around the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs and drug use in America. This year, during the week of October 24th-28th, Yavapai County observes Red Ribbon Week and proudly celebrates the fact that a significant majority of the youth in our county do not abuse drugs or alcohol. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers to plan for the following ongoing daytime lane restrictions on State Route 89A north of Prescott Valley from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, through January 2023: SR 89A at Shiloh Road between Mingus West and south of Legend Hills (mileposts 330-331) is narrowed intermittently to one lane only of alternating north- and southbound travel. Flaggers are assisting with traffic control during certain phases of the work and, at other times, a temporary traffic signal will be activated in the work zone. A 10-foot lane width restriction is in place...
