    The Humboldt Education Foundation (HEF) would like to remind everyone that it’s charitable tax credit donation time. HEF is a qualifying non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps support the students and teachers of the Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD). Each year HEF gives out over ,000 in teacher mini-grants and awards two graduating Bradshaw Mountain High School Seniors with scholarships. HEF supports the Hungry Kids program which provides weekend meals to HUSD students in need and the HEF School Orchestra Program which is a multi-phased, community-based effort to bring orchestra into the elementary and middle schools of the Humboldt Unified School...

    The Yavapai County Public Works Department working in conjunction with the Prescott National Forest will be performing road work at the intersection of Ponderosa Park Road (C101) and SR 89, approximately 1.5 miles south of Prescott.     The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight north- and southbound lane restrictions on Interstate 17 between the Maricopa-Yavapai County line and Bumble Bee Road while ADOT crews perform guardrail repair work. The following restrictions will occur overnight from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Monday, Nov. 15, to Wednesday, Nov.17: Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane from the Maricopa-Yavapai County line and Table Mesa Road (mileposts 238-235).     The USDA Forest Service will waive fees at many day-use recreation sites on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11, in honor of Americans who have served in the armed services.     Community Services Director Scott Bruner announced at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 that a disc golf course is planned for the empty space at the Community Center Park in Chino Valley, east of Field 5. The dog park next-door will also be upgraded with a Ramada installed for shade.     The Findlay Toyota Center of Prescott Valley will open for Public Ice Skating, Open Hockey, and Adult Hockey League games on November 8, 2021!   Open public skating will run from November 8, 2021, through January 2022 and will be open for all ages and skill levels.
