Nina Bloomgarden and Chloe Yu stars of the new thriller Jane, spoke to us about why it's so important for you to have someone you can rely on no matter what. The two star in a psychological thriller that revolves around social media and bullying. Both Bloomgarden and Yu said that the issues the movie presents are serious and real - people must see the consequences of their actions. However, at the same time, this movie is not based on reality and is meant to be a fun ride for fans. When we discuss (without going too specific) that crazy ending, both actresses talk about how surprised they were reading it.

Netflix hosted the Premiere event of Day Shift at the Regal LA Live theater. We got to speak to a bunch of the cast about what it felt like working with each other, the effects, working during COVID and more. In attendance was: Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg were in attendance and were joined by co-stars Karla Souza, Meagan Good, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Oliver Masucci, Steve Howey, Zion Broadnax and director, J.J. Perry. Producers Shaun Redick, Yvette Yates Redick, Chad Stahelski, Jason Spitz  joined the group, in addition to executive producers Datari Turner, Charles J.D. Schlissel, Peter Baxter and Alex Young. Sabrina Jaglom, writer and director of the new hit thriller Jane, stopped by to discuss what it was like seeing a script she co-wrote come alive before her eyes on set. Jaglom said she knew she wanted to direct it from the second she began working on the script. Jaglom also discusses how happy she was to be working with the talent she got for the film, including Melissa Leo and Madelaine Petsch. She also discusses the importance of setting it at an all-girls school and the pressures we face as young women, especially regarding social media. Jaglom said she hopes people enjoy the film because it's dark and fun, sprinkled in with high school moments we can all relate to.

Bio:

Sabrina Jaglom is an LA-based writer and director. Most recently, she directed the feature film, Jane, which she co-wrote with Rishi Rajani. The film stars Madelaine Petsch, Chlöe Bailey, and Melissa Leo, and will be released in Fall 2022. Additionally, two scripted podcasts that she wrote and directed released this year: Listening In starring Rachel Brosnahan for QCode, and Wheel Woman for iHeartRadio. She began her career working in film/TV development at Fox Lit and Whalerock Industries, and then went on to serve as an associate producer on the feature film Home Again. Sabrina has directed multiple award-winning music videos and short films, the most recent of which, Unforgettable, premiered on Watch Dust’s platform. She has also directed various stage productions, including the West Coast premiere of Empathitrax as well as This Party Sucks, produced by Val Kilmer’s HelMel. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & Television.

Dylan O'Brien sat down with us to talk about what it was like becoming Colin in his latest film, Not Okay. The movie showcases the ups and downs that come with using social media. So we had to ask all of the questions -- O'Brien talks about becoming blonde, getting into the look of Colin, a shoutout for a prior film, working with Zoey again, and the intensity of his Twitter account. Madelaine Petsch stopped by to talk about her new psychological thriller, Jane. Petsch talks about aspects of her character she related to, especially when it comes to anxiety. We both agree that there is a lack of resources and this film does a great job of showing the effects of not getting the proper treatment or having someone around supporting you. However, Petsch reiterates that this movie is fun and meant to be a thriller, hoping fans enjoy the twisted storyline as much as she did.

Zoey Deutch teamed up with Dylan O'Brien again (they were previously in The Outfit together) to bring Not Okay, a satirical comedy about social media, to the small screen for Hulu. Deutch spoke exclusively to us via phone about what her experience was like filming, starting with the preparation -- down to the color of her character's nails and hair. Deutch also spoke about the film's ending and what she wants fans to walk away from after watching it.

Inspired by real events, the story is about a drug dealer, who is trying to commune his sentence, and agrees to go undercover to prevent a serial killer from getting out of prison. Nicholas Galitzine, star of Purple Hearts, discusses the importance of getting things right in the film, working hard to research and speak to as many people who have served as possible, and how hard it was in terms of filming and getting through those weird chemistry tests done virtually. Since the movie was filmed during COVID, Galitzine said many things were different, but the experience was special. While he did address that one controversial lunch scene from the film -- we did spend more time talking about the amount of work he put into the film and some behind-the-scenes details.

The cast of There's Someone Inside Your House was excited to sit down with us to talk about how this movie is paying homage to those that came before it, such as Scream and Halloween -- while forging its own path.
