Silent Ground.

Apart from the episodes with my wife, this week’s episode ranks as one of my favourite so far. The revelatory really bloomed in our midst as my beloved friend Jahleel Shelling and I discussed the vivid textures of God’s revelation throughout history. What emerged from our conversation was a profound, holistic perspective of who the Father is to us and how we can relate to Him practically. What was specifically illuminating, was the consideration of how much we are either hindered or unhindered by the lens we are looking through as we learn to behold Him. Simple affection is often withheld because of the influence of these world views that attempt to pervade our subconscious mind. We must be renewed in the Spirit of the mind by allowing the Holy Spirit to shine forth into our inner most being to reveal the glory of God in the face of Christ.

On this episode we discuss the simplest pathway to rich encounters in the presence of God. Through learning the language of our heart we find that an ancient gateway is opened up within us and the Lord is given space to dine with us and us with Him (Rev 3:20). Christs work on the cross has caused us to be joined to Him in union and from this home country we are invited to share in the streams of His life that issue forth from within our hearts. As we tend to this inner faculty through a simple affection toward God, our interior soil softens and becomes fertile for an abundant harvest of inward and outward visitation.

On this week’s episode my wife Chloe joins me again to discuss the practical reality of building a life centred around ministry to the Lord. Once again, her otherworldly wisdom presented itself throughout our conversation, both weighty in its transcendence yet grounded and incarnational. There were moments where the dew of heaven settled gently in my prayer room as we spoke and as she reminisced on significant moments she has had, caught up in the presence of the Lord. As you listen, I pray you are swallowed up in the Fathers love for you and that your heart is aligned in the freshness of the truth.

This week I was joined by one of my most beloved friends Chris King. Chris and I have dug wells together in the scripture in the hopes of discovering the living presence of Jesus. Our conversation was rich with testimony and practical keys to cultivating a deep life in God. Finding substance in the scripture as our vital supply and living with a heart position that waits for Christ to emerge from the text will awaken hunger in us for heavens supply of living bread. Without this our prayer life will grow stale and we run the risk of methodology swallowing up our pursuit. 

Recently I had a series of immersive encounters with Gods love that resulted in my inner life being completely unravelled. THESE ENCOUNTERS DEEPENED MY UNDERSTANDING OF HOW EXHAUSTIVE HIS LOVE REALLY IS AND TOTALLY RE-CALIBRATED MY PRAYER LIFE. In this episode I begin to unpack some of the journey that led toward these visitations and how His nature was revealed to me in its unfolding. I believe the Lord is longing to manifest Himself to us in profound ways and the pathway is one of learning to let the Holy Spirit lead us in His unveiling experience.
