In this episode, the guys talk about the latest with name, image and likeness and how it impacts both Ohio State and the NCAA at large. They certainly don't have an answer for how to fix the way things are currently run within college football, but they think the latest presented changes are a step in the right direction. They also discuss how this will impact recruiting, and touch on what should be a massive recruiting month for the Buckeyes with the end of the in-person recruiting dead period.
They then switch gears a bit to give their thoughts on the latest with Dwayne Haskins and his quest to try and resurrect his career in Pittsburgh, including what Ben Roethlisberger thinks of the young QB and what they think went wrong in Washington.

On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Kelsey Trainor talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
On this week’s edition of Play Like a Girl, Kelsey and Meredith talk the just-announced HBCU Combine, scheduled to open January 2022 in conjunction with the Reese’s Senior Bowl. Despite a history of great players coming out of HBCUs (Jerry Rice, Michael Strahan and Walter Payton, to name a few), no players were drafted from HBCUs in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The pair also talk about Nina King’s promotion to athletic director at Duke — literally, SUCH a great hire. King is just the third Black woman to lead a Power Five athletic department, and is the first woman to be named AD at Duke.

Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast series, Stick to Sports, will be unlike any podcast you’ve heard on the Ohio State beat. Your hosts, Jordan Williams and Matt Tamanini, will (of course) talk Ohio State football, but the primary focus of the show will be on what’s going on around the periphery, such as weird/funny happenings in college football and the sports world at large, as well as other things that keep us interested in between games, whether that’s pop culture, social media trends— you name it.
OSU announced a Home and Home with Oregon in 2031 and 2032. Matt and Jordan talk about this news and the overall process of scheduling games a decade in advance. On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Kelsey Trainor talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
On this week’s edition of Play Like a Girl, Kelsey and Meredith talk Stanford’s reversal on their decision to eliminate 11 varsity sports following economic impact from COVID-19. While there’s a lot to celebrate about the sports being officially back, the decision to eliminate them in the first place still remains something of a head scratcher.
The pair also talk updates in the Deshaun Watson case, including that 12 of his 22 victims are planning to attend a status conference next week. They also get into how, unfortunately, many continue to place the blame on Watson’s victims.
While that was a seriously depressing topic, Kelsey and Meredith wrap up the show (in the spirit of the WNBA’s 25th season tip off last week) by talking Jordan Brand’s signing of five WNBA stars — and how that enhanced partnership is a solid investment for Jordan Brand.

In this week’s episode, the guys break down some of the new scheduling information we learned about Ohio State’s football and men’s basketball teams last week. They discuss the allure of the noon game versus the late-night kickoffs, as well as how the early-season tilts against Minnesota and Oregon could shape the rest of the season for the Buckeyes. On the hardwood, they talk about some of the Big Ten opponents Ohio State will play on the road vs. at home, as well as where they are at in terms of the pending return of both Duane Washington Jr. and E.J. Liddell.
