Number 2: Buck Off: New Defensive Staff and 2022 Depth Chart Predictions
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined, as always, by Jordan Williams for the second episode of Ohio State’s offseason and a huge one at that. We begin the show by talking about the flamethrower Ryan Day just tok to the defensive coaching staff and we give a run down of all the new names. We discuss their positions and the importance of the fresh faces in the room. Then we talk about what all these coaches have in common and bring to the table for the Buckeyes. After that we get into a discussion about the final outlook of the staff. We assume there will be no additional changes, so we talk about the new offensive line coach for the Buckeyes, the lack of work Kevin Wilson does, and the value Parker Fleming doesn’t bring to the table in his special teams coordinator role. After the break, we then get into our 2022 depth chart projections. We discuss the offense and how we see the receiver depth playing out. Then we get into the build of the offensive line and C.J. Stroud being QB1 in the 2022 draft. Our final discussion is our defensive depth chart projections. We discuss the LEO position, how the linebacker room will look, and what we think will happen at the defensive back positions under Jim Knowles. Number 3: Buck Off: Year in review, Harbaugh to the NFL, and coaching changes**
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined, as always, by Jordan Williams for the first episode of Ohio State’s offseason. We begin the show by talking about the biggest news surrounding the program starting with our final thoughts on the Rose Bowl matchup and what it means heading into next year. Then we discussed the coaches still on staff and Jordan gets into how Ryan Day can lose his faith. After that we get into a discussion about the Jim Harbaugh rumors to the NFL. We talk about why the interest is real and why this time the smoke means a fire. Then we discuss some of our personal vendettas against that team up north. After the break, we get into the year in review taking a look at the feelings and emotions we were going through after every match up. From the first game struggles against Minnesota, the importance of the Oregon loss, the coaching change, and all we say something about all the match ups through to the Rose bowl. Our final discussion gets into our offseason scheduling, we’re very excited about all the shows to come. Number 5: Buck Off: Merry Christmas, giving out lumps of coal, and a 2022 season wish list for the Buckeyes
On today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I am joined, as always, by Jordan Williams to discuss Ohio State’s early signing period and the class the Buckeyes have put together so far. We begin the show by talking about the successes in the 2022 class and we discuss the players we’re the most excited about joining the Buckeyes. We get into the coach recruiter rankings and reflect on the biggest misses in the class. Moving forward, we get into a discussion about what we learned in our film studies for Jim Knowles. We discuss some of the position fits and the parts that make a Knowles defense special. We talk about the coverages and some of the wildest things we saw from Oklahoma State’s defense last year. After that we get back into our recruiting discussion, and this time look at it from an NIL perspective. We tell you why NIL hasn’t changed recruiting, we discuss how it might change recruiting, and then we discuss why there should be no problems with money in college football. Our final discussion gets into some of the smaller news and notes like Jim Knowles getting the lay of the land.
