A big game deserves a big podcast, so this week’s show is a little more supersized than usual. We apologize for nothing, because hey, no extra charge for you. (Not that we charge.)
Ohio State went on the road for its second Top 5 matchup away from home this season and this one went better than the last one. The Buckeyes made nearly the same amount of mistakes at Penn State as they did at Oregon, but this time they came away with a win by a touchdown instead of a one-point loss. Many (including us) thought this might be Penn State’s year to get a win in the series, but the Buckeyes got some key stops from the defense and a massive game-ending drive to grind out the final five minutes of the clock.
We break down all of the key moments of the game, check back on our picks to click, and see how our score predictions turned out (spoiler alert: we’re happy to say, the latter went poorly).
After we wrap up our Penn State game discussion, we turn our attention to the other scores from around the Big Ten. Michigan lost again and remain short of bowl eligibility. Indiana finally trailed but ultimately destroyed the Spartans. Nebraska lost at home to UCLA to remain bowl ineligible. Purdue took Northwestern to overtime but then didn’t do anything else after that. Oh, and Wisconsin is bad again.
Finally, we looked ahead to Purdue’s visit to the Horseshoe on Saturday. We look at which Boilermakers the Buckeyes will need to watch for, make our “picks to click” selections, and try again to predict the final score of the game.
We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.

Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s Power Two Podcast. On this show, we talk about Big Ten and SEC football…and everyone else. This show is for the die-hard fans and the casual college football fans. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the major matchups of the previous weekend and look ahead at the games, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host DaNaysia Jones. Lock in as we run a power sweep through the college football landscape.
In this episode, DJ and Jordan open by encouraging everyone to join the MACtion this month.
In the two-minute drill, Jordan and DJ discuss the Ohio State game against Penn State, South Carolina, and Ole Miss. DJ shares her thoughts about the ACC conference blowup between Louisville and SMU. We could be looking at a Miami vs. SMU ACC championship, and it is a toss-up of who would win that and ultimately get the playoff bid. Jordan discusses the BIG 12 shakeup with Houston and Texas Tech. Washington is still fighting for bowl eligibility as the season comes to a close.
The Power Rankings highlight some newcomers and become a reality check for the frequent flyers. With the playoff rankings right around the corner, we will see how this shakes out in real-time. Who will the committee select as potential playoff spot contenders? We will find out on Tuesday, November 5.
In the Pre-game power sweep, we anticipate a quieter week. This week we recommend: Mid-Day: UGA-Ole Miss, CU-Texas Tech Primetime: Bama-LSU, Washington-PSU, and After Dark: The Holy War. Honorable mention: South Carolina - Vanderbilt.
In the two-minute warning, DJ discusses NBA viewership. Both hosts encourage all listeners to vote for their chosen candidates.

We are back for another recap episode of Hangout in the Holy Land, and we must let our Blood Pressure settle down after this one.
No. 4 Ohio State (7-1) takes down No. 3 Penn State (7-1) 20-13 in one of the more roller coaster and chaotic games you will ever see. Both teams had a turnover in the red zone, and the game started with a pick-six, but after all that, the Buckeyes settled in and controlled the game in Happy Valley for the most part.
How did the Buckeyes pull this off? Who were the Buckeyes that made it happen? And how did this game shift all the narratives surrounding this team? We answer all of those questions and more.
Plus, our full thoughts about this game and the season in general now that the Buckeye’s path to Indianapolis is a bit clearer.

Every week during the college football season, Matt Tamanini and Jami Jurich will be getting into all things Ohio State, previewing the weekend's slate, unveiling their individual CFP rankings, and picking Heisman contenders on "No Fall Weddings."
On this episode of the Land-Grant Podcast Network’s “No Fall Weddings,” Jami Jurich and Matt Tamanini dive into what scares them most about Saturday's Ohio State game in Happy Valley against the Penn State Nittany Lions. They get into the offensive line woes and injuries and discuss how much Ryan Day and Chip Kelly can scheme around those obvious deficiencies.
Then, after a break, Jami and Matt reveal their own personal top-12 lists, dive into the Heisman horserace, and recommend games in each window of the college football season.

On Land-Grant Holy Land In Conversation, we talk to people in and around Ohio State athletics, and the sporting world at large, to bring you a different insight and perspective to the teams, athletes, and university that you love.
On the show today, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with DraftKings college football analyst, the host of "The GoJo Podcast," and former Notre Dame offensive lineman Mike Golic Jr. GoJo dives into the issues that the Ohio State offensive line is dealing with, both in terms of production and injuries, and previews what Chip Kelly might do against Penn State in order to cover up for that unit's deficiencies.
He also gets into what Jim Knowles should do to attack the Nittany Lions' offensive line as well as a number of other topics. And, as a DraftKings Sports Network representative, he sheds some light on what he would do if he was betting the game.

Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s I-80 Football Show. On this show, we travel down I-80 to talk all things Big Ten Football. This is the only Big Ten Podcast that’ll cover all 18 teams. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.
In this episode of the I-80 Football Show, Jordan tries his best to focus on the podcast while the Yankees actively blow game five of the World Series. The podcast begins with the guys trying to determine what leads students to pay over $55,000 a year in tuition but skip class. In the traffic update, we’re once again stuffed with little news outside of Michigan quarterback Jack Tuttle retiring from college football in his seventh season after his fifth concussion.
While recapping the previous week's slate, Jordan tries his best to not derail the show with his disappointment in Ryan Day but it doesn’t work. Jordan believes that Day has proven after six years that he is not the man for the job. His flaws are all over this team including his decision to not bolster the offensive line in the transfer portal after struggling to recruit along the offensive line for the past three or four recruiting cycles. Now a week after almost losing to Nebraska, the Buckeyes have to go to State College and face James Franking and Penn State. Franklin loves to lose big games, especially against Ohio State as he has only one career win against the Buckeyes. In a game of a moveable object vs. a stoppable force, someone has to win this game. So which coach wants to lose more?
In their MapQuest segment, there are no Friday night or after-dark games in the Big Ten this week so the focus is the weekend starts at noon with Ohio State vs. Penn State, the second most important game of the season in the conference. At 3:30 we have Oregon looking to continue their dominance against a disappointing Michigan program. In the primetime slot, we have USC-Washington, the loser of this game is most likely not going to make a bowl game but especially USC if they lose as they have to face Notre Dame and Nebraska in two of their final three games and would need to win one of the two to make avoid a 5-7 season.
In their weekly pitstop, Jordan is frustrated with the Colt's decision to bench Anthony Richardson and with his entire sports fandom as a whole as the Buckeyes, Colts, and Yankees are all frustrated in different ways after being wildly successful when he was a kid.

Josh is back from a wedding, and Hangout in the Holy Land is back for another preview episode, which is a big one.
The 6-1 No. 4 Buckeyes head to Happy Valley to take on 7-0 No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions for another top-five battle as Ryan Day and company look to get back on track after a loss to Oregon and an underwhelming performance against Nebraska.
We preview the Nittany Lions offense and defense. How much of an impact will the Penn State pass rush be? Will Drew Allar or Beau Pribula be the quarterback? How good of a running duo are Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton? We answer all those and more.
Before that, we concluded the Nebraska discussion and shared our thoughts on all the coaching narratives currently in circulation.

We got the Ohio State offensive line answers we were looking for, but that doesn’t mean they are the ones we wanted. The Buckeyes looked terrible up front without Josh Simmons and struggled offensively in a 21-17 home win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. A few big plays wallpapered over a poor day running the football and Chip Kelly’s worst playcalling of the season. The Huskers played hard and it was almost enough, as the Buckeyes did not play like the angry team Ryan Day promised would take the field on Saturday.
We break down the game, discuss all the key talking points, check our score predictions, and see if the Buckeyes we picked to click did just that.
After our Nebraska rewind, we looked at the other games around the Big Ten. Oregon continues to roll, and the Wolverines and Spartans continue to save their worst moments for when they’re off the field. Oh, and Indiana won again.
Finally, we looked ahead to Ohio State’s trip to face the Penn State Nittany Lions in Happy Valley. After what we saw on Saturday, we’re not feeling great about the Buckeyes, but perhaps they were just exhibiting their usual sleepy post-bye-week play or nearly fell victim to a trap game. Or maybe they’re just not good. One thing is certain: Penn State’s defense is less forgiving than Nebraska’s, so the offensive line must find some answers.
We provide our score predictions and choose the Buckeyes we think could have big games on Saturday.
We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.

0:21 - The Buckeyes did not look great in Saturday’s win over Nebraska, nor did they respond like the angry team Ryan Day promised. We discuss.
38:22 - A walk through the weekend’s other scores from around the Big Ten.
51:56 - The Buckeyes travel to Happy Valley to take on Penn State’s formidable defense. But who will be under center for the Nittany Lions?
