Silver Screen Cynics

Video Game movies have a bad reputation, deservedly so. This week we aim to fix this by choosing which video games we would choose for a silver screen adaptation.

Scenario: Aliens have made contact. They want to learn about humans. They ask for films to provide more insight. Which films would you pick? The Cynics answer that question this week. Something tells me the aliens might not be too happy with all of our choices.

This week the Cynics discuss what movies they are slightly embarrassed to like. Oh who are we kidding? We don't get embarrassed!

The '80s were a very unique decade for film. We decided to take what we love about '80s films and try and create our own '80s film and picking the cast of our dreams. The results were nothing short of RADICAL!

This week the Cynics discuss movies that best used the fourth wall break. The fourth wall is the imaginary wall between the actors and the audience. Breaking it means you, the audience, are now essentially part of the story. It is not often used, but it can be very effective if done properly.

The Cynics discuss their experience watching the first Hunger Games movie in the theater.

This episode we focus on our favorite 'Jump the Shark,' 'Nuke the Fridge,' 'Monkey the Lincoln' moments in film.

We continue our '90s theme this week with a focus on Mr. Pauly Shore. Nobody does '90s better than the Weasel himself!

This week the Cynics discuss which '90s movies do not hold up to current viewings. Button up your flannel t-shirts, zip up your Jncos, and don't have a cow, man while listening! As if!

This week we discuss nos films étrangers préférés (our favorite foreign films). If you hate reading subtitles then this isn't the list for you. You should check out Michael Bay's filmography instead. ;)
